Thank god, i almost exploded holding my breath waiting. This thread might be funny after the lions game... hopefully?
Edwards was the like the 3rd/4th WR in his progression on that play. The only reason Sanchez would even look for him on that play would be if the first 2 options, Cotch and Keller I think, were not open. The first option was open and he threw it to there. I can't fault him for not seeing that the backside post route on a bootleg broke open.
GET HIM THE DAMN BALL! End of story. You should always be taking shots down the field so many times a game to a 6'3 receiver with his jumping ability.
he would know about a lack of focus ... Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...02_braylon_wrs_out_of_hand.html#ixzz1484zw3SX
Worst post ever. Tying his frustration over the loss, where he didn't say anything improper, was answering questions, to your personal attack on him because you have a ridiculous position on DUI shows a politicization of your views of the roster. How ridiculous is that? Pretty F'ing ridiculous.
Joking or not, and true it may be, he needs to keep this in house. It's little stuff like this that can really hurt the chemistry in a locker room. J-Co was targeted 13 times, more than twice as much compared to anyone else so I do not think that was Sanchez, he must've been the hot read or Schotty was in his year about something. J-Co certainly wasn't the checkdown on those dropped passes.
Say what you want about his DUI's, but Braylon is playing like the legit #1 WR we were hoping for all along. He's been by far our best option and is definitely making a great case for that extension in favor of Holmes.
he also has to be open. don't think you teams have keyed in on him given what he did the first 5 weeks or so? They're rolling coverage to him quite a bit because they know they can't match up 1 on 1 against him. that opens up things for guys like holmes and cotchery. they just need to catch the god damn football
Effin' Braylon Edwards... you know what, before we signed this guy our players could catch footballs. It's like he gave them the dropsies or something. I think he rubbed off on them. Now he's catching balls and they need some stick-em or something.
Plays aren't going his way, that's why the targets have been so high to the receivers. When we were running plays to Keller Sanchez would thread that in, Keller can box out a safety covering him and outrun any LB trying to cover him. It comes down to playcalling, and opposing teams aren't pulling coverage off Holmes/Edwards/Cotch to cover Keller.
