Minnesota is on the hook if he's claimed. If he clears waivers, then he gets paid whatever is agreed upon with the new team and Minnesota still pays him the $6.5 million. That's what Schefter is referencing with the double dip.
agreed. that's actually a good point. unless they think they can resign him, which given their situation would be stupid because they're years away from being relevant. i think a middle of the road team will be the first to do this. like a 3 win team. If he drops that far, i bet he goes to the redskins or the rams. San diego is another possiblity...going 3-5 to start the season might be the best thing that's ever happened to him. personally i hope he goes to another NFC team
Any word on what are the grounds for the grievence? Rex Ryan did sort of predict this when he said something like "gamemanship would be Moss going back to NE in a few weeks"
He won't sign with Buffalo if he clears, why on earth would he when he can sign with any team he wants?
i was just thinking...do the lions go and get stafford another target? Megatron and Moss would be ridiculous
Buffalo won't spend the money on Moss. Most likely options are San Diego or New England in my opinion.
The Pats aren't taking Randy Moss back...even if they could get him (which they can't, given that there are 31 teams ahead of them). They dumped him once already. It was nice to be nice yesterday, but that ship has sailed. Stay in the NFC, Randy.
I dont understand, under what grounds can the Vikings have the trade reversed? Was there foul play somewhere in this??? Can someone explain that if possible?
No, that's not the point. If he clears waivers that means nobody claimed him and HE can sign with ANY team he wants? Get it?
He'll end up on the Lions and score a TD against us this Sunday. Jesus Christ, how do the Patriots continue to sucker teams into making bad deals. It's absolutely unbelievable. I have to say it, Belichick is a genius.
