He said it on NFL Network, flat game off a bye week. He said we are still the best team in the AFC and our offense AND defense will only get better.
A flat game would have been losing 16-10. 9-0 is an embarrassment. Thankfully its over and can be forgotten.
The best team in the AFC doesn't get shut out in it's own house after a two-week rest period by the 18th-ranked defense in the league.
Deion is an idiot but glad someone is still on our side. i can't stand him and Michael Irvin. Those guys would be pumping gas if they couldn't jump high and run fast. clown show. Not sure if anyone saw it last night, but i fell asleep on my couch while it was on and i woke up to all 4 of them yelling and screaming and trying to talk over each other for like 3-4 minutes straight. it was hilarious. on a side note, kinda cool how Fran Charles is the host of that show. he was one of the best sports anchors on NY tv.
I want to see how the Jets offense responds next week against the Lions....fuck the Packers game, it's in the past. Next week's game should be a tell-tale sign of what this Jets team is made of.
good teams play bad games. the saints won the superbowl and played like crap towards the end of the season (and it's not like they let up). So lets be real, out of 7 games...we've had 3 bad games offensively, 2 which cost us the game. the other we pulled out despite getting screwed by the refs all day. We just need more consistent play on that side of the football. there's only 1 team that has only 1 loss, and we beat them.
Jets haven't really fired on all cylinders since the Buffalo game. They had flawed performances against MN and Denver and were fortunate to win both games. It's hard to imagine that their Offense is as bad as what we saw yesterday so I'm going to say it was just "not our day" combined with a great Defensive effort by GB. It really doesn't matter who's playing the best ball now. It's all about which teams are healthy and playing well in January.
i only care if we are the best team in february. could give a fuck right now. deion is a dumb ass too btw
This morning's Star-Ledger reported the following quotations: • Quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the Jets’ defensive pressure: “A lot less than we expected.” • Linebacker Clay Matthews on the Jets’ running game: “There’s really nothing special about it.”
Why should they say anything any different? When these 2 teams played, these statements were true. The Jets showed up to the party with no gifts, of course they were embarrassed. I don't think it will continue.
^How is that smack? The Jets didn't blitz/pressure as much as usual, it's a fact. Defense played great, though.
I don't see the Jets being the best team in the AFC. Lets be honest we haven't played well the last 3 games and if we don't figure out a way to get our offense on track we are going to be in trouble as the season wears on.
