It was a long day yesterday, what with Halloween, trick or treating and the like. I am nearly convinced that early in the first quarter, D'Brick, pre-snap, left his traditional LT spot and shifted to the right of Woody/TE, leaving just Slausson on the left?

Did I really see that happen? If so, I wasn't sure that such a formation was even permitted.

Yes, then there was a false start (I believe by Woody)

Interesting. In all my years of watching football I can't recall ever seeing such a formation. For some reason I assumed that you had to have your LT all the way down to RT line up in the same formation, every play, and that you could only add to the line with player(s) on either end.

The Ravens like to come out with the unbalanced line formation, it looks like the Jets motioned to that. Still, if a player reports as an OT and then motions to the TE spot, does that make them an eligible receiver? I'm kind of confused about how this formation works.

They did that at least 3 times yesterday and it aggravated the hell out of me. If you want to go unbalanced line, fine, there's absolutely NO NEED to put your tackle in motion. It's just another moving part that's likely to cause more problems for the offense (penalty) than the defense.

Schotty was trying to outsmart people again. The last time they did it they ran a play action boot to the side that Brick vacated leaving two free rushers right at Sanchez. OoOoO, you really tricked them good on that one Schotty!

You would think they learned there lesson about being over coached and too complex on offense from week 1. Apparently Rex needs to micro-manage his OC if there's more than a week between games.

When Schotty has a lot of time to prepare, he outsmarts himself.

They have done that a few times this year, yesterday was not the first time.

I really don't like your use of the word "outsmart". Outhinks himself would be much more appropriate.

I think the Dolphins did that kind of unbalanced set a lot in the first year they started using their Wildcat formation.

It sucks you get 2 weeks inbetween the AFCCG and the Superbowl....Schotty sucks when he has time to over think everything.

They did that on the the reverse where the fumble took place due to penetration. Got lucky there. The whole game was UN-JET like. Throw this game plan in the trash.
