Positive Outlook Thread...No Same Old Jets Fan Allowed We got shutout and we looked terrible out there on offense. Mainly, our receivers played like they were in scrimmage. Those 2 INT's were dragged from our receivers hands because the Packer DBs wanted it more. But lets keep things in perspective... 5-2, 2 losses that were against Ravens and Packers. We have 2 games away from home against mediocre teams (Lions and Browns) Our defense stepped up today even with the ridiculous zone matchup Rex decided to roll with and Sanchez was okay out there...We can blame it on the bye or move on and accept that we lost this one...There are always going to be tough losses to accept, we are still a great team that has ability to rebound.
yep...I thought our D played pretty good....they certainly kept us in the game. The fact that Rex had the balls to call a fake punt that deep in our zone....says a lot about his trust in the defense.
Agreed. Our defense looked great with all the pieces healthy even though we cant really get any turnovers. Our Offense looked terrible and was handcuffed by 2 bogus int, a fumble, and a missed field goal. Not to mention we could have attempted another fg but we needed a td. Some tough breaks.
Kill yourself faggot. The Jets are going nowhere with this coordinator and QB. The defense is very good but its not good enough to win games on its own. Time to start rooting for a low WC seed for the Jets with some sunny, warm weather climates as the top seeds, because Sanchez is not going to ever win a game where the weather and especially the wind is any kind of factor. For all the talk about drops terrible throws from Sanchez cost the Jets 2 TDs and several of the Cotchery "drops" were on plays where he was wide open, had to jump to even get a hand on the ball and was then hammered by a defender in the air. The fake punt was also one of the stupidest calls ever, closely followed by blowing their last challenge in the 2nd quarter on a meaningless play.
You sound like the biggest bitch on this board...All I read on this post is how you like to cry like a school girl after a boy called you ugly. Go sit down in the corner and start supporting the other franchise in New York you sissy.
I second this. Thats probably the worst post Ive ever read. We are 5-2 but we are going no where. Our 2 losses are by a total of 10 points.
I really think you can chalk this one up to "just one of those days". Jets WR's will not always drop this many balls, etc. Jets Offense started bad and got more and more frustrated and panicked the more they struggled. The ironic thing is that for a team that got shutout, they actually moved the ball a little bit in the second half. At least this was an NFC loss and won't hurt as much with tiebreakers for playoff berths.
The older you get, the less you react too extreme. Luckily I have learned this at a pretty young age. The Jets had some heart breakers last year and still (somehow with 7 losses) made it to the AFC Championship game. They are (5-2) right now with games against lesser opponents coming up. Gotta step up, but its just a loss. The way it happened was terrible, but lets move on.
Exactly. Enough already. We might be up there with Dolphins fans when it comes to the mind frames are we win/loss games.
Defense played great... didnt' give up a touchdown... what game were you watching?? if we don't score we CAN'T win... bottom line = offense was terrible, defense was great... who would have thought we would lose a game giving up 9pts (really 6pts)... also... terrible first post / thread start
