Wow, Irish Coach Brian Kelly is a moron.

2nd and 8, less than a minute to go, ND is down one point to Tulsa. You have a kicker that has made something like 17 straight FGs. You are set up at the center of the field between the hash marks, inside the 20. What does he call? A pass, by your true freshman QB, which is picked in the EZ. Game over; Tulsa wins.

^^Agreed. Wow, horrible horrible call. 99% of HS coaches would have taken the kick and won the game.

I would call for Rex Ryan's head if he attempted this dumb shit. I can understand if the Dame had a shitty kicker(Which has been the case for most of the past decade) but Ruffer has been a beast thus far. Had a XP blocked for 2 points which was the big difference of the game sure but you let your kicker give you the game.....

E-SPEC-CIALLY when you have the god damn wind favoring you, NOT against you Coach Kelly like in quarters 1 and 3. As Mike Francesa would say it best:

    "THAT WAS ATROCIOUS"

I don't know which loss was worse...this garbage or when we let the scrub patrol of Syracuse 2 years ago led by Greg Robinson who can't coach a god damn team march into South Bend and tool us.

Yeah it was terrible. My wife is a TU alum, so she's thrilled, but there is no reason why ND did not win that game. Did they want to hang points on TU for some sort of statement that the game wasn't that close? Did Kelly want to give the QB confidence?

I just can't figure out why you would that QB to make that throw in that situation.

All about the ego stroke of having the 1st ever Irish freshman QB throw for 5 TDs under his reign. That has to be it.

I thought Kelly's playcalling was great this game too...the 2 trick plays. Great stuff. However this last drive was pitiful.

Sad thing is I would so call for this man's head but I wanted Brian Kelly very badly to coach this team so I got what I wished for....and so far he doesn't look like the promising coach I thought he would be.

Greg Robinson was the coach. He was a former Jets assistant coach. Glenn Robinson played in the NBA.

Also, in your post tonight was the first time I ever heard Notre Dame referred to as "the Dame." Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

Yeah not sure how I got those 2 mixed up I am just that furious with the crap I just witnessed right now.

I switch it up with the name tags. The Dame, ND, The Irish.

Why? Because he didn't have enough sense to tell someone to tell the kid to get down from the tower in 50mph winds?

    Fuck this game.

I caught the last 6 minutes.

3rd and 26 and you can't stop them. You allow Kenne to step up in the pocket and fire an easy bullet in the middle of the field.

And then you allow a rookie freshman to have the option to throw into the endzone? The kid threw the ball as if he was playing in the school yard. Fucking retarded loss.

Tommy did okay, but holy shit. An embarrassing final 6 minutes.
