2. Jets (Jets are rested coming off their bye week. They seem like the No. 1 team in football.) Clayton Number 2 on almost every pole as we should be but with the Ravens almost losing to the Bills and Steelers winning on a gift, people are now starting to believe we are the best team in football. Patriots are right behind us at number 3.
Steelers and Ravens are probably going to cancel each other out, although the Jets and Patriots could do the same thing. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Colts wind up with a bye once they get 12 wins. Everyone in the AFC West seems to be average or worse and the AFC South is filled with good or better teams. AFC is very balanced this year.
Jets lost to Ravens, Jets beat the shit out of the Bills. The Ravens beat the Bills like a red headed step child at home, no? Eye noes u joeking
I don't believe in "canceling each other out." A good team is a good team, and I love the Jets obviously but right now the Steelers are number one for a reason. They are beat-able and I don't fear facing them but until we do or they start losing (or getting gifts like that) it is what it is.:steelers:
How did this go 9 posts without a, "why do you care about power rankings" post.. must be a record for this board... good to see the Jets getting props and I think we really should be #2 behind the steelers... it's gonna be a great matchup when we play them
Maybe it's the cynic in me, but I can't help but feel a little worried that we're getting so hyped up that there's really no way to live up to it. I feel like we've got a great team--but being named the #1 team has me a bit uneasy. I can't really pinpoint it.
