Are you kidding me?? I drink these all the time. All the time. All the bodegas have them. They're pretty fucking good. I've have the one with the Bud light in them, too.
I went on a cross country road trip this summer and hit a few breweries along the way. Saw the big AB factory in St. Louis, the cleanest buildings ive ever been in. In Boulder Colorado theres the Mountain Sun brewery and pub, they have great food and over a dozen or so of their own brews on tap. As far as your larger craft brewers go, I like the Red Hook Blonde and Great Northern Brewing co. Black Star beer.
Had Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti and Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout on tap last night. Both were dark, chocolatey with a good head (just how I like my women). Thought the Brooklyn, which was cheaper, the better of the two. Good beers to drink slowly over the course of an evening. Or to build up to since you wouldn't want to folow with something lighter.
Been to both and The Pony is better. The selection at The Pony is more limited but it changes every day and it's all on tap.
I am currently enjoying yet another Celebration Ale. It is tasty and cold. I keep my beer outside at this point. It's 26 degrees here so I better finish my brews before they freeze overnight.
I figured I'd revisit this thread. I've been going to Blind Tiger for about a month now, once or twice a week, since it's a few blocks from my girlfriend's apartment. Last night I decided to deviate from my Stone/Rogue/Sierra Nevada track and try 21st Amendment Hop Crisis Triple IPA. It's a Triple IPA, about 10.8 ABV. It was delicious and went down like water. I meant to only have one or two beers but I ended up having about six, slobbering down a bunch of wings, and passing out with all my clothes on. Really good beer. -X-
I've really meant to find some 21st Amendment beer but there aren't any distributors near me that carry it. Closest one is in Williamsport, PA. I probably won't have time to get to the place in the Bronx that has it when I'm in the city for Christmas.
Was really impressed with Southern Tier IPA. I had it the other night, and it was really, really flavorful and fairly easy to drink. Also, Stone Sublimely Self Righteous is a good one. -X-
What kit did you get and where did you buy it? I am interested in beginning homebrewing and I was poking around a local wine/beermaking store recenly and was surprised to see that even with their cheapest kit I was looking at close to $200 just to get into the game. Also how much does it brew in a batch and how much did you pay for it? From what I understand the amount of beer it can brew at a time makes a huge difference in the price. For anyone with homebrewing experience, what is a good size for a beginner?

Comes with a good amount of stuff. For 5 gallons of beer per batch. At first I'll just be buying recipe kits. They normally run about $20-$45 (depending on the style). So $40 for 5 gallons. 640 oz/12 = 53 beers. 40/53 = 75 cents per beer or 4.53 per six. It's not bad. Eventually once I get good, I'll start just buying my own ingredients and experimenting.
