Actually I was thinking that too. It might work for a few years like it did in Dallas (Davis is certainly no worse than Jones) and that team has nowhere to go but straight up. He could do his magic all over again.
Are you kidding? There isn't a team he has been involved with that didn't get much, much better while he was there, Overrated?
he takes bottom of the barrel teams and improves them to the wild card berth range and then leaves when it comes to the tough part. Turning a playoff team into an elite team
He sets the foundation, I'd say that's extremely important. I have tons of respect for Parcells and appreciate everything he did for the Jets.
I just saw a poll from ESPN that all the knowledgeable fans across the country took part and they rated Parcells the third most over rated front office executive in the NFL.
Parcells top level of success has diminished with every new team. NYG - SB Champions twice. NE - SB loss. NYJ - Made playoffs, won playoff game. DAL - Made playoffs, no playoff wins. MIA (GM) - Made playoffs, no playoff wins. I think he is over rated.
Coming from a team that has Chan Gailey for a coach...Parcells might actually take the "laughing stock" tag off of your team. Then again, you don't deserve that...:buffaloblows:
Nice deflection. I thought the discussion was about Parcells. I guess it shows your limitations to just throw in a dig without explaining why I am wrong, or rather, a reason other than the Bills poor play on the field. Every team goes through good and bad times. Watch out for the toes you step on today because they may belong to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow. As for Parcells, why do you think he deserves the accolades? Sure he has turned organizations around for the better, but to lesser degrees of success every step of the way. His early success, IMHO, is more of a result of Belichick.
Ha thats the name of the game on this board didn't you know? If you disagree its either "you don't understand football" or a change of subject and then its everybody pile on and insult
