There are so many people who have stepped up, it is very hard to narrow down just one. Mark maturing and not turning the ball over every game. Braylon becoming a true #1 receiver and blocking better than a lineman. LT being LT and proving everybody wrong. Cro stepping up and taking down the leagues best receivers. Nick Folk bangin' 56 yarders. Keller quickly emerging as one of NFL's best tight ends. Goddamn we are lucky to have this kind of talent.
It's a tough decision, From LT to Cromartie everyone has done their job, and has had an impact in each game wherever it's Cro limiting Randy Moss in the Pats / Vikings game, LT turning back the clock to prove the doubters, Mark Sanchez with his 9 TDs and 2 INTs, and providing scoring drives that were needed. Nick Folk with his 5 FGs against the Vikings and critical FG against the Broncos and Braylon / Keller with big plays down the field. It's just hard to pin point 1 guy, but if I had to choose it would be LT
Gotta be someone on the O-Line for me. They've been outstanding run and pass blocking. If I had to choose one I would say D'brick. He's been shutting down the pash rush.
i went with cromartie. if we didn't have him we woulda been burned by moss 1.5 games and lloyd etc. he's been blanketing the other teams #1
Good point that I completely overlooked when creating the poll. I probably could have replaced Bart Scott with O-line.
I go w/ Sanchez, his progress has been the biggest reason we are 5-1 and if they let him play week 1 we'd be 6-0.
Correct answers: - Sanchez - LT - Tanny/Rex - Cromartie I'm gonna say it's a combo of Drew Coleman and Matt Slauson. If these guys haven't stepped up and played the way they have, we're probably closer to 3-3 than 5-1.
Good choice, and I agree, if we had any kind of production from the offense week 1, we would be 6-0. I went with LT. He's been outstanding for us not only on the field, but from a leadership role that the team really needed. We hear about him reading Vince Lombardi to the team, we see him encouraging team mates on the sideline in tough moments and we see him looking like he's 5 year younger on the field. I'd say he's the clear front runner for comeback player of the year at this point, no? I'm surprised the Beard hasn't got any love yet.
Yup, that's why I voted Sanchez. He hasn't been making mistakes and is leading our offense to a lot of points while our defense gets right
I chose LT for the same reasons; I was hoping he would be a great addition to the team, but I didn't think he would be this large a factor. I also agree that the O-line has been huge, Cromartie has prospered in this system, and Dustin Keller has come into his own- especially with his blocking skills. Braylon has been big, but this team has some solid guys in Leadership roles (i.e. Sanchez, LT, Bart Scott) that he is overshadowed in the team mvp argument for now.
It has to be #6. With a team with so much talent it is very hard to go with an MVP, so I went with the most important position: QB. Sanchez has been great. Even his Broncos game wasn't so bad and he looked terrible at the beginning. Haha.
