Stop bragging...........How the hell did you figure that one out? U a M-A-T-H wiz or sumthing? Me Ima English magor.
Doesn't really add up though. Unless 200 of the players each voted for a different person and not one of the players mentioned in the Original Post?
239? 12 of them voted for Sanchez in the poll, which was apparently conducted at the beginning of the season. He got some credit for playing well in playoffs last year so it's probably just backlash from that. He had a big rough patch last year and a weak preseason/game 1 this year, and he was a rookie last year, so I don't think it's all that surprising.
I think the question is open ended: Write down the name and send it in. That probably gets 25 different players, and there has to be 12 who saw the praise Sanchez was getting thought "WTF, he sucked last year. He got lucky this year, he ain't shit." And they wrote his name down. Its a poll that really doesn't mean anything.
I don't understand the Terrell Owens pick. Dude is a first ballot HOF and it having a pretty good year.
I really feel bad for TO. This guy has done nothing bad off the field, and all his "problems" came on the field mainly through controversial TD celebrations. Yet, his peers, and the media just seem to dislike him for no other reasons. We have murderers, drug offenders, sex offenders, and these people are more respected. Sad. sad.
who is overrating him? i don't think any of us (even as jets fans) would put him withing the top 10 in the league.
Don't forget starting QB's that rob banks on the bye week. http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/ci_16385986
THIS. Especially because the poll was apparently taken very early in the season or late in the preseason, and that was the time folks were doubting he'd be any good. Plus, how is a first year QB ever "overrated"? Most people expect first year QB's to suck, which is why when you have a first year like Ryan or Flacco had, people get excited. Just a very odd result to me.
Wrong, his diva personality and inability to see beyond himself when he was younger is the direct reason why no one could stand him. It had nothing to do with TD celebrations.
The fact that Romo is rated higher gives this poll some credibility in my book. WHat the hell has Romo done?
I don't care who rates who in the NFL, if Trent Dilfer can call himself a SB Champ, I want the same for MS.
I doubt many players are jealous of Eli. The guy has one of the most punchable faces in all of sports. Peyton is extremely hateable as well but he's so good you really can't say anything about him so Mr can't grow a mustache gets almost all of the Manning related hatred.
It's jealousy driven, the players who get a lot of off the field attention engender more enmity from their peers.
