and now he says the steelers D is the best in the NFL. last season his response to the jets being #1 was how there is no top defense in the NFL. I thought big time defenses put the hammer down at the end of games and don't blow leads? The Steelers gave up a GW TD drive vs the ravens. That must mean they're not great. Meanwhile the Jets are 3/3 on closing out games this season. Have they performed better then the Steelers D? No. But all that mattiz is getting stops at da end? right?
absolutely. the jets are playing average for their standards on defense. maybe they're performing 6th or 7th best but at the end I'm taking the Jets D over anyone not named Pitt or Bal. Then we have a good debate. I expect this D to be improved once Revis is Revis. PPG allowed is what it comes down to. yards are completely overrated as proved by the cowboys 10 14 23 14 20 20 and I'm not nit picking Francesa. Last year the Jets problem was lack of turnovers and clutch stops. Now they're getting a ton of turnovers and 3/3 on game ending situations and now the problem is the D is playing average and now the turnovers are a negative cuz they squeaked out last 2 wins. We knew it would happen but now the Jet haterz are getting to the point of nit picking their wins.

Yeah agree on that, Defense has been disappointing but you know that they have the potential to get back to former greatness. What I worry is that the league has adjusted to Rex's strategies and Rex doesn't know how to counter. I hope he can figure it out
I don't see how you cn call the defense disappointing. We've been missing an impact player at every level since week 1. (Revi$,Pace,Jenkins) Now going forward we have Revis,Pace,Pryce. It's not a question of the league adapting, it's a question of missing some pretty big time talent. Rex has been fielding Top 5 defenses for several years...

it's awesome listening to phil simms on francesa's NFL show. francesa's says a bunch of BS and states comments and phil simms seems to always disagree. it's awesome! francesa has that look on his face like 'you disagreein wit me? da king of spawts radio? ya lawst phil! ya lawst!' but he can't tell phil he's lost Francesa took a huge hit when he was talkin up the Steelers defense and Polamalu and Phil Simms said he can't find Polamalu on the field and he's not being an impact guy right now. He then said the Steelers pass rush isn't as good. Way to go Phil! That was one of like 7 disagreements on his interview.
