I'm not sure how you can call a baseball manager an "Xs and Os" guy. You can blame Girardi for the way he handles his pitchers, but since there are no plays to be called he's just managing the roster and pitching changes. He can't help the batters get hits.
U know what I mean...pinch hitting, substitutes...by the book management... when it comes to pitching, the by the book method absolutely kills him....he's garbage

Anyone who's been whining about Joe Girardi needs to look no further than the opposite dugout to realize that it could be worse. Why Washington will use Feliz with an 8 run lead but not with the bases loaded tonight (or in game 1) is beyond me.
Ive never understood when you see a switch hitter who hits 300 one way and 120 the other way. Should he really be a switch hitter?
