WTF IS HE SMOKING? THIS IS AN ALL-SEASON LOW. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...wrong-end-of-penalty-call?module=HP_headlines
He's probably been given a real hard time about it from quite a few people. Still, he should man up about it.
yeah this boy doesn't get it....no need to chirp about it. they are going to flag u regardless if u grab the fmask of a receiver. thats it. it doesn't matter how, why, or when..... the only thing i would agree with about this call was that maybe the NFL could limit these types of penalties to 15 yards and a first. i see how the article states he "swiped the facemask".....not exactly the correct description. no sympathy from me. bout time these calls occur at the right time for the jets. jil
Accidental or not, if you manage to grab and turn someone's facemask then you are going to get called for it. Deal with it.
watching the replay, holmes doesn't look like he made the first contact so I don't know what "watching countless rewinds" proved to Hill.
The way the refs were calling that game. If Champ Bailey was covering him it would have been offensive PI.
What the hell is up with this accidental crap? Did Kyle Wilson really mean to tackle Boldin in the endzone in week 1?
"Countless" is pretty subjective, after his quotes, it very well might have been in the 2-3 rewinds range.
I keep hearing how it was accidental, what does this mean? is it not a penalty b/c he didn't intentionally grab his facemask?
And there are no "incidental" five yard facemask penalties anymore. It is all 15 yarders now. So the other call would have been a 15 yard facemask. Jets would have been well into Broncos territory with alot of time left.
hes trying to say that because they were both falling and he didnt know where holmes was that its not a penalty? ... child please, turning someones head when theyre trying to catch the ball affects their attempt more than just about any other kind of pass interference and even if it was an incidental face mask, any penalty on the DB when the ball is in the air is a spot foul ... so the result would have been the same
These guys have too much pride to say yeah man I fucked up That's why hill be working at kmart next yr instead of playing in the nfl
I think the same thing, even under the old rules. If the face masking occurred when the ball was in the air and prevented the receiver from catching the ball, it was PI at the spot. Even under the old rules.
Hill has done a pretty good job at staying in the league. Never a big time player but decent enough to start on some teams. Working at Kmart? Well I assume you are just making a joke as he made some good money the last 10 years in the league. I see his last deal was 4 years 10million. Three million guaranteed.
No way was that an accident. No fucking way when Santonio's head jerked, and he legit tugged his facemask..
Is Hill saying that Holmes facemask should've been flagged for interfering with his fingers? What a dunce.
