It's irrelevant to whether this is a worthless thread. It serves no purpose to play the 'what if' game over a holdout that polarized this board. This did not merit its own thread. It was a throwaway sentiment that could have been expressed in the pre-existing holdout thread. The OP deserved exactly what he got.
I think it was a interesting point that does nothing negative... Its not playing the "what if" game. Just stating that you guys probably lucked out by having him cave a week early. Otherwise, you'd be forking over a LOT more money right now.
