What team do you think the honor of this title goes to? And if you had to give Lombardi trophy to a team which franchise gets it?

Personally, I have to say the Vikings. They have had some really bad and heartbreaking losses for a long stretch of time throughout their existence. I like their franchise and they have a strong and loyal fanbase...They have had some hard times, but they seem to always fall just a bit short

    69 Super Bowl loss
'73 Super Bowl loss. Super Bowl VIII
'74 Super Bowl loss. Super Bowl IX
'76 Super Bowl loss. Super Bowl XI
    2009 NFC Championship loss
    2000 NFC Championship loss
    1998 NFC Championship loss
    1987 NFC Championship loss

HOWEVER, this can be argued with some other teams like the Eagles and Bills (4 consecutive super bowl losses- depressing, but the Bills suck as a franchise)

List of other teams not winning the the big game
    Chargers
    Cardinals
    Bengals
    Lions
    Eagles
    Panthers
    Titans
    Texans
    Jaguars
    Seahawks
    Falcons
    Browns
    Bills

Yeah, I'd say the answer is the Vikings. Just look at the following-

most seasons with a playoff appearance
    30- Cowboys
    30- Giants
    27- Rams
    26- Vikings

most seasons with a playoff appearance in the Super Bowl era
    30- Cowboys
    26- Vikings

Bills. Two AFL titles right before the Super Bowl Era. 4-2 in AFC Championship games and four straight appearances in the SB. Heart breaking? Yes, but a feat never duplicated and most likely never will be again. Minny is definitely a close second. Those were some mean teams in the 70's.

ONE of those Marv Levy teams should have won the Super Bowl. It's insane that they didn't.

LOL, if you're going strictly on winning %, it's Minny. However, saying the Bills suck as a franchise doesn't bode well for Jets fans, being that the Bills have a better franchise winning % than the Jets. Sure you guys won the big one in SB III, but you have the second worst franchise winning % of the SB winners, and before last season, you guys were the bottom of that barrel. I'm not trying to dog you, just point out that laughing at a crappy team in the middle of a major crapfest might be a mistake if you don't have better numbers than them.

Marv cost them some SB's. Polian was the one responsible for those winners.

EDIT: They had the Giants and the last Dallas SB. How they lost them, I'll never know. Yes I do, we're the Bills.......

I'm saying Vikings have been a winning and getting close for longer duration...I know the Bills had 4 years in a row to win it.

I think they are 2nd behind the Vikes though. its just Bills have fallen far from any sort of contention

I would send your scouts to Indy now and see if they can get some kind of discount on the flight down.

For real though, I didn't think Buffalo would fall apart like this. They have talent on offense and yet still struggle mightily.

TBH, this was bound to happen sooner or later. This team needs to get scrubbed clean. I wouldn't be surprised if Lee Evans was next.

Yeah but the NFL might not even exist today if the Jets didn't win SB 3. It certainly wouldn't be the multi-billion dollar empire it is now.

While I certainly appreciate that win, it doesn't give you guys a free pass for eternity. The Jets have struggled more than the Bills have in the Super Bowl Era.
