I was, and even said I'd take the L if it meant Revis would miss a bunch of games re-injuring the damned thing. I will be super pissed if he even puts his uniform on this week.

i'm probably in the minority but i think revis should play, but they should limit his reps. a sore hammy is not the same as a pulled or strained hammy. from what i hear playing will strengthen his hammy in his case.

If Clavin Pace gets reinjured,we can deal with that ... different type of injury and worth the risk to the team.
If Revis gets reinjured we're screwed.
    That's the difference.

You're putting a potential #1 seed and Superbowl appearance on the line for one game. I don't see the sense. What exactly is the hurry?
And for the record ... it seems 90% of the "experts" (former coaches, players and analysts) seem to agree.

And someone previously mentioned the Jose Reyes injury. A perfect example.

At some point he has to come back and play. When he does he will be very sore. Why throw out the progress he's made in that return so far?

I'm just imagining our pass defense without him for an extended period of time and it scares the crap out of me :(

I think we gave up 8 passing TD's all last season, and we've already given up that many in 5 games ... along with countless completions on 3rd and forever. I have to believe not having a healthy, effective Revis is a big part of that.

I'm sure you've been suffering with this team for many years like I have. We finally have a legit shot at winning the SB, and I'd hate to see us blow it because we mishandled our most important player.

Just to point out ...we have been winning without Revis! So we are definately not screwed god forbid something happens.

Let him get his rest and play a few snaps to keep his game conditioning up.

I agree a big part of the passing defenses struggle has been due to not having a 100% #24 out there. My opinion is that his soreness and late game ineffectiveness from last week is just part of the process of getting him back to 100%. There has been nothing to suggest he had any kind of setback, only normal soreness that comes with returning to action.

He needs to get his legs under him and that will require him being sore for a couple/few games.

Revis himself said he didn't feel good, and that the swelling after the game was pretty bad.

The ONLY way you recover from a hammy is rest. Been there, done that. The risk of re-injury on a hamstring is significant. All it takes is for one slip, one time when your feet come out from under you and you can rip that muscle to fuckin shreds.

Revis needs to rest that injury, and he CAN get whatever work he needs on it rehabbing the thing. IMO, if he plays, he puts his entire season in jeopardy. If we can't beat the Broncos without him... we need him for NE, MIA, and... the Colts in the playoffs.

It was nothing other than normal swelling and soreness after coming back from injury. No one has said anything all week to indicate it was anything other than normal soreness. Revis' comments directly after the game may have seemed that way, but after that it was always referred to as normal soreness after injury.

He went through extensive treatment (12 hours a day) for 2 weeks on that hammy from world class doctors. Those same doctors then cleared him to play. Those same doctors didn't even find it necessary to do a precautionary MRI this week.

For a regular Joe all you can do is rest. I've also had a hammy and tried to go back too early - the thing popped again as soon as I tried to go all out. Clearly Revis didn't re-injure himself last week.

The guy needs to get his legs under him.

I think we should sit Revis this game so he will have a nice 2.5 weeks rest before playing Green Bay on Halloween, which is going to be a very hard game where we DEFINITELY need Revis!! I think we have a good chance to win this game without Revis playing, even if they do have the number 1 rated passing offense in the league.
