I'm not trying to be negative with this thread, it's obviously quite an accomplishment to make it through 5 games without an INT. So, when do you all think the inevitable first INT will come? Last week he was throwing a lot of off target HIGH passes that he did a lot last year. If he keeps that up this week I see it happening at mile high.
His INTless streak is already on borrowed time. He is probably gonna throw one this week. Especially if he try's to throw one of those jump balls at Bailey.
He's been very fortunate. There's been passes that should've been picked off already so I say it'll probably happen against Green Bay. Here's hoping to me being wrong and for a 0INT season for the Sancho Panza.
I was hoping this thread would never surface.....I would be quite content with Nacho putting up a goose egg this year in the INT column. I know it's a daunting task....but Nacho has taken care of the football pretty well thus far.
I hate you ... Really tho, there was a pretty steady, heavy rain. I'm cutting the kid some slack But if he challenges champ too much, he'll have one next game. Champ is still playing at an extremely high level After that it's just the luck of the bounce, because i don't see him throwing the ball directly to defenders and missing targets like he did last year
I think it's safe to say 20 picks is completely off the table, in fact double-digit picks probably is too. But The kid's had a four-leaf clover up his ass thus far. At my count he's had two that Rex overturned, the Miami screen pass, the one against Buffalo early that Braylon made a great play on to knock down, and one that should have been a pick this week. Also had a fumble this week that bounced straight up back into his hands. I voted this week only because I'd rather see his luck run out now than watch Woodson make a house-call after the bye.
If el Minero can stay away from Bailey he should get through this week and the bye w/o an int. However GB's secondary is pretty good so I expect a pick by them. But its OK. We just want the Jets to be the 1st team to go 5 consecutive games without a TO. That's another record the Jets can hang their hat on.
Hopefully sooner than later, and hopefully in garbage time.... The longer this goes the more I get the feeling his first will be an SOJ moment.
First playoff game . . in 2014 === Champ is dangerous. Luckily there's a lot of weak talent around Champ this week & Sanchez should be able to avoid Champ easily. One thing that might happen though is that he gets so used to blowing through the Broncos defensive backfield & becomes overconfident & sloppy on a pass. Really should be easy pickings for the Jets passing & running games this week.
Why would you say that, Sanchez threw 10 picks in 2 games last year. The problem with him is when he throws them he throws in bunches.
Because first of all they left him out there WAY too long in the Buffalo game, and that will never happen again. They should've turned him into a hand-off machine after the third one. Second, two games in his rookie year is not a sample size. If it was then Peyton Manning would've had about fifteen more 5-pick games in his career.
First we are blessed with the Jets look-a-like thread before the buy now this gem. Hell why don't we just open up the "when-r-the-Jets-going-to-be-eliminated-from-the-playoffs" thread. I don't want it to happen on Sunday @ Detroit would be the best but will happen before that. He has gotten away with about five throws that should have been picked off this year so far.
