I thought each team was limited to a max of 3 primetime games a season. Could be wrong but thought there was a TV rule of some kind for this. Must be wrong though considering the Jets schedule alone this season.
Sigh. I really miss the 1pm games. I hope the Texans, Miami and Chicago lose out so those games don't draw any interest. And maybe the week of the Jets/Pittsburgh game, they decide to go with an NFC East matchup.
Must really suck for fans of all the other teams. Bet they are really sick of seeing the Jets play primetime. I know I would be. I hate seeing Dallas play primetime. I'm sure we'll get another one flexed but someone brought up points on why we may not because of schedule conflicts and they were pretty good reasons. I would love to see the Pitt game nationally televised.
I agree, but at least there won't be a 50 minute lightning delay again to make the game end at 12:45...
I mind seeing Dallas play when the game sucks, Like Cowboys-Giants or Cowboys-Redskins, those games are inevitably either blowouts or defensive shit-fests. If the game is a quality matchup I really dont care who it is.
I miss 1PM games too, I think after this week we have about 4 in a row(unless the last one can be flexed).
I'm delighted that we are on Monday Night football - the game is shown live in England. So far this season I've seen us live against the Ravens and Vikings, as well as the games against the Pats and Fish...4 out of 5! Fantastic...
Ratings! Vikings - Jets MNF had highest ratings this year and 4th highest all-time for MNF. Here is Woody Johnson on CNBC's Squawk Box today talking about the business. 8 min video if interested. http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232/?video=1615122578&play=1
Another UK Jets fan, what is it with the Jets and the Britt's? Did you see Hard Knocks? You have to admit our football is better right?
We play at 1pm, 4pm, Sunday Night, Monday Night, and Thursday Night We already have a 1pm, 4pm, Monday Night, and Sunday Night win...has any team ever won a game in all 5 of time slots?
I was going by the magnet schedule where most of the late season games are listed as "TBD". I just checked out NFL.com and I see we have a long row of 1PM games. I'm actually pretty happy about this.
its a max of 6 primetime games. and the cowboys maxed out last year i believe which was why we got flexed with the cincy game instead of the cowboys-eagles game
