Gee whiz. Surely there is something better than "Subway Bowl" that could be used as a nickname for a Jets-Giants Super Bowl. See, it works in baseball because fans can take the subway from the Mets ballpark to the Yankees one. It does not work with the football teams.
If you want to be fair, you'll have to note that the Falcons only loss to this point was in overtime in Pittsburgh. You could call it lucky because one play could have turned the game around. I don't see how the Pittsburgh loss contained any less luck than did the win over New Orleans. As for the San Francisco game, could you say the Falcons stole that one? Sure. The word completion is used for a reason. In his haste to do some sort of look-at-me clown dance, Calvin Johnson did not complete the catch.
if the giants are close to 100% they are dangerous of course. I do NOT like their running backs though. Bradshaw would make me nervous everytime he is handed the ball, and Jacobs is a fucking clown/shitty player. Their Dline is amazing, but linebackers, and a few of their corners arent worth mentioning. we saw the Dline take over 2 games in a row. yes the opponents Oline was missing starters, but impressive. Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith, Boss(who hasn't been Boss this year) are great to throw to. Eli is a good quarterback, but has mental breakdowns sometimes. I love Eli as a 2minute drill quarterback btw. They need another quality corner, and linebackers who don't suck cock. edit: oh yeah their offensive line is utter shit with these injuries, but getting better w/o starters.
This is the same team that started out 5-0 last year right? Look at their games against the Colts and Titans to know how much of a fruad this team is. Carolina is awful and the Texans were banged up. Chicgao is another fraud. Until they beat some real teams I'll refrain from calling them a SB contender.
Both conferences are not that impressive. The Jets are the best team in the AFC and they even struggled to beat a 1-2 NFC team at home. I have no idea after watching the Jets/Vikings game how anyone could really think that the AFC any more impressive this year. The best AFC team barely beat a bottom-feeding NFC team at home. Color me unimpressed with EVERY team in the NFL this year.
I think you're selling the Giants too short. Teams are allowed to have slow starts, and that's what they had. They shouldn't have lost to the Titans.
I just don't think they're all that good. I think their still the 3rd best team in that division and I don't think they are a playoff team. We'll see how good they are in their 1st go round in the NFC East but I'll take both Dallas and Philly over them even though the Cowboys look like shit right now but IMO the Cowboys were much more impressive in their win over the Texans then the Giants were. Dallas should have beaten both Washington and Chicago but correctable mistakes cost them a W. It's not that they were outplayed.
I doubt the Giants can maintain any sort of motivation over an entire season. They're a bunch of malcontents who mail it in when the going gets tough. They could make the playoffs but I don't see them getting anywhere
And If my aunt had balls she could be my uncle. The giants will be 7-9. 8-8 at best. Was will win the very mediocre NFCE.
Still not sold on the Giants. They've looked really good the past 2 weeks but they've looked really terrible the first few. I think they'll settle somewhere in the middle, as will Hakeem Nicks.
Did you seriously only come here to proclaim the Steelers the best football team in every post? GTFO and go to a steelers forum. If you actually wanna talk football then start doing it.. my guess is you became a steelers fan in september.
