Ok serious answer here: While I agree Ngata is a defensive line beast, that is not what this defense needs most. This defense needs a free safety that can lock down the deep middle and create big plays or a beast OLB that can destroy on the pass rush and create match-up night mares. So one player is either: The one player I would want is Ware. I can't really pick a safety short of Ed Reed but the current version is too old and beat up. On offense the first and only is Peyton. Given those 2 players, with Peyton this is a surefire Super Bowl team.
He is very promising for sure, I am just reluctant to say the Jets one player of need is a rookie.....
Whats frightening is he doesn't play like one. I watched the Chargers-Seahawks game. Holy shit this kid has instincts that are off the charts and he has maybe 3 different gears of speed he can kick into. He was one of my favorites in the draft, but I didn't think he'd be the best player on that defense coming out of training camp.
I have watched parts of 3 Seahawk's games. He is better than advertised for sure. I am still going to hold off on the anointing oil. I still haven't seen Berry yet. He was intriguing as well.
Right, good point, I guess he would be starting instead of Devito. I actually knew Gregg started at NT for Baltimore - I think hearing about Ngata being "the best NT in the league" all the time mixed me up.
Either Michael Griffin at safety (love his playing style) or Julius Peppers at DE (his highlight reels the past few weeks justify it).
1 season --> Julius Peppers ... Jets would bring the pressure even without blitzing. For the rest of their career --> Earl Thomas (Seattle) or Berry (Chiefs) ... Watched them both & think they'll both be big time players w/ more time in the league.
We are still missing a pure pass rushing DE, so Ware, Allen, or Mario Williams. (In no particular order) (Put Ware at DE or Clay Mathews) Jared Allen or Mario would be nice though.
Any one of these three: 1. Troy Polomalou 2. Aaron Rodgers (no, he's not better than Manning or Brady at this point, but he's a lot younger and will be the best QB in the NFL within the next two years and for YEARS to come). 3. Julius Peppers
Peyton Manning, just so I can bench the big nosed twat. Indy would be fuck all without him, so one less obstacle to our Superbowl run.
