Pouha has done a good job but I think I'd pick Ngata. Ware and Woodhead are both close seconds though.

I can't possibly fathom an answer other than Peyton Manning, someone in the argument for Greatest Player of All Time, still playing in his prime level.

Is it bad for the distant future? Maybe, but I don't see Peyton declining for another 3 years at least, or retiring for another 5.

The Jets receiving corps right this moment are better than any group Manning has ever had in any of his eleven 4000+ yard seasons.

This defense is better than any he's ever had, so is this running game.

This is not a slam on Sanchez, because few are at this level, but if we brought Peyton in at zero personnel cost, a three-peat would be a virtual given.
    ---

All that being said, guys like D.Ware, Polamalu, Calvin/Andre Johnson, Chris Johnson behind our line... would all be very very entertaining to watch.

Have to agree here. Right now these two are the most dominant players in the league. If I was starting a defense from scratch I take Polumalu. For our team I would take Peppers first because with guys like Revis, Cro and Leonard in the secondary we are pretty solid there and a pass rusher would just make us ridiculous. Plus have you seen him this year the guy is a beast.

He has some of the greatest pregame speeches ever.

Him and Ray Lewis are pretty damn good at that.

You write that as if Ngata would put Pouha on the bench. I think they'd both start. Ngata does not play as much nose as most people seem to think. Ngata is not actually the nost tackle for Baltimore.

    Its Kelly Gregg.

Ngata plays everywhere on the line. He played MLB two weeks ago on one play, similar to what the Jets did with Jenkins.

Yeah, I know the BAL NT is Gregg. That is the point. For some reason a lot of fans around the league, not just Jets ones, believe that Ngata is the BAL nose tackle. They do not realize he plays all over the place on that defensive line. So my point was that Ngata would probably not relegate Pouha to the bench.

Peyton because we could probably go 19-0
Polamalu because he'd be a freak in this defense
Jake Long - pretty sure he could handle RT
    Ware
    Ngata
