I'm still not fully recovered from Monday nights mayhem in the Meadowlands, so I may be talking shit...whats new

Is it me, or do you think Pool is so far under achieving? I thought he would be alot more physical than he is and would be in far more tackles.
It could be because hes still learning the system, FS in the NFL I would think to be one of the most complex positions to learn, basically you have to know what everyone is doing, so there is alot of learning to be done.
But that aside, his tackling has been average at best.

    Thoughts?

He has done enough. He could have had a pick on that one route where he was doubling the outside (Moss I think?). But he and Cro hit each other a bit and he lost it.

Other than that, I have not seen him blitz too much. Other than the delayed blitz on the deep TD to Moss.

Gus think he is playing okay to be honest , I think the communication is causing problems in the whole secondary. We seem to be out of position a lot due to miscalls .

hes doing pretty well for a new safety in this system

He missed alot of the first few games because of injury and Smith was getting more playing time than him until around week 3 I think. I can't remember him missing on a tackle but he hasn't seemed to make that many.

I think he'll continue making improvements throughout the year and I think he's going to solidify himself as our starting FS.

i think he has been a disappointment so far, but he hasn't really fucked much shit up.

he had a td saving tackle @ miami i believe though.

he does alot of little shit we dont really notice, but i'd thoutht he would of caused some turn overs by now.

btw he should of picked off favre, or got out of cromarties way.

Deep coverage by all 3 safeties (Leonhard, Poole. Smith) has left alot to be desired...

He basically saved the Miami game for us on two occasions. I also noticed he seems to make a lot of smart plays. He never seems to be out of position. So far I think he's doing a fine job.

THIS! He hasn't been a terrible fuckup, but not what I thought he'd be either. Yes, he's had some big moments, but too few and far between.

I really think he's been fine. Not mindblowing, but he's played three friggin games in a new system.

That's an easy TD if he doesn't make that open field tackle. Harvin is explosive.

I'm glad Rhodes and his Hollywood BS is gone, get that outta the way first.

Actually Rhodes was nearly always in the right place too, it was just his tackling (er-hmm) skills that let him down, and a big side order of attitude.

So for me, so far Pool isn't playing that much better than Rhodes did.
2 steps forward one back for me.

Pool hasn't had many reps though as he is sharing it with Eric. Its only 5 games into the season so I can't conclude he hasn't been good.

It seems like our Pass D is getting beat up against every one. Is it the Revis effect? or is it the over blitzing on 3rd and longs?

Yea but we have had like 5 games so far he should have like 4 picks and 5 forced fumbles right now right.
