jax/buffalo was the second biggest line move of the week after CHI/CAR, which was largely influenced by the Cutler injury. It opened as Chicago -3 and 36, about, and closed at Carolina -3 and 33, about. Instead, Chicago is routing Carolina and the game will almost certainly go over as well.
packers are the most overrated team in the league. glad i bet small and put most of my money on jax. hope philly can come through tonight.
the pack would be a good team if half their roster wasnt injured. Al harris, Nick Barnett, Ryan Grant, Morgan Burnett. Now Finely, lee, pickett, matthews, martin and Rodgers got hurt today. how many teams could survive and play well with that many starters missing time? Ours certainly couldnt if you took out Cromartie, Scott, LT, Pool, Keller, Hartsock, Devito, Harris, Eric Smith, and Sanchez. If the pack ever get healthy they will have a good team. The question is merely can they get healthy fast enough to still win enough games to make the playoffs...
Da Raiders.. no points needed here.. those division games are always tough.. Rivers is such a wild card..
couple of interesting early lines... oakland +6.5 @ san fran ravens +3 @ patriots colts -3 @ washington
Those are the 3 games that jumped out to me as well. Why the Niners keep getting favored every week is beyond me? I like alot of the spreads this week. Im sure the Packers/Fish spread will change since Rodgers will likely be out with a concussion. If not im taking the Fish and those points. Here are some more i like... Browns +14 @ Steelers (That Peyton Hillis kid will control the clock and score for the Browns atleast once) Titans -3 @ Jaguars Cowboys @ Vikings -2.5
yeah, i was waiting on the fins/packers line myself. However not too comfortable with the Browns or titans pick. Colt McCoy is starting his first game and the steelers get big ben back. That has all the makings of a blow out. a Rookie QB.... against the steelers D...IN pittsburgh? Come on brah. I wouldn't take pittsburgh either because i hate taking lines that large. but i think all things considered the browns get romped The titans should win that game, but the jags have always had a tendency to win divisional games they shouldn't. So i guess that's not a bad pick, but the jags are a team i don't like to bet against because they're so enigmatic.
I had no idea they are starting Mccoy. I forgot Seneca Wallace got banged u last week. But i still like those 14.5 points. Big Ben could be rusty and thats a chance im willing to take. The place i go to place down my bets, you hae to do a minimum of a 3 game parlay. What do you think about the the Falcons -1at Eagles?
The falcons/eagles is a tough call. I'm not confident enough to urge another person to pick one or the other, but i'll say this; Personally, I think the falcons are overrated and have been very fortunate to win a couple of games they should have lost. I also think the eagles as long as they have some QB continuity (i.e. they don't have to change QB's mid game and change the gameplan), are a pretty damn good team, as least in the NFC. Whether I'd bet on the eagles or not would probably depend on the health of Bunkley and Trent cole, who are huge parts of that defense. both got injured last game. i might do a small straight wager on the eagles, but i'd have to look at the injury report and see how banged up their defense is right now. I definitely have an anti falcons bias, so take it for what it's worth. i just don't believe they've ever been that good of team all around. above average at best
The one i dropped $100 on is a super teaser. You usually get 8-10 added points from the reular spread but the payout isnt as high as you can see, but its likely that I'll hit that one so im not worried. The one i put $50 on is a regular teaser, you usually get anywhere from 4-7 extra points.
Your super teaser is a winner for sure. the other two have some questionable picks. Who do the texans play? Falcons are not a good bet in regular parlay. The eagles worked that ass last year and they'll win at home.
Texans have the Chiefs at home. Jacoby Jones and Owen Daniels are startingto et back to 100%, I think Schaub will snap on them especially after last week against the Giants Just got this feeling about the Falcons, I think they'll win the game. They are the most ball controlled team and they dont turn the ball over. Im just hoping that D can keep playing solid. Jackson and Maclin cause mismatches no matter who they play.
whew. Sundays from 11 AM to 1 PM are crazy. I'm going to try a teaser one of these weeks, but it has to meet three criteria: 1)Sides only, no totals 2)Has to be sides I like anyway, pre-teaser 3)No teasing across zero and then of course if I'm doing ties lose, I have to be sure to only take half point spreads
I had Jets -2.5, Ravens +3.5 and lost on the third leg, Raiders +6.5 Still a good bet, the payoff was $5.5/1
Warned you about the falcons psycho lol. I lost my raiders lock but made a killing on my teasers. Lost a compulsive bet on the cowboys though bc I thought favre might not play
