    Would you disagree w/ that? Clearly we do not have a big time defense right now.

    Nope. But they're making the plays that they didn't make last year. Last night as well as 2 weeks ago against Miami are the games they would lose last year. I'll take this year's D over last year's any day if it means they close out games and get the W.

    IF(team==NewYorkGiants)
    output 'WIN';
    ELSE IF(team==AllCategoriesRank1of32)
    output 'WIN';
    ELSE
    output 'HATEHATEHATE';
    EATCHEESEBURGER(9);

    I think I'm coming close to cracking Fatso's code.

    I agree with you. We haven't really dominated anyone on D this season, while the Giants put Cutler and Shaub out of comission.

    It's still one of the top 3 or 4 in the league though. Our biggest problem is the big play. All of our opponents are having success on the big play. If we can start making stops on 3rd and long we will be elite. I'm not happy with the way the D has played thus far on those 3rd downs but we have shut down 2 very good runners and shut down the Pats O in week 2. We're winning games against good teams and that's all that matters to me. Stats mean shit if you lose.

    Rex seems to be really stubborn now with his 3rd and long BLITZ EVERYONE mentality.

    Rex and Petite seem to be going to the well to often. 3rd and 15 and 3rd and 17 why can't we just fake a blitz for once and drop everyone back and only send three?

    When the blitz gets picked up its a touchdown ie Moss and Harvin. But the D is finishing games this year and making the big play when the game is on the line so I'll take this years d over last years d.

    Its a shame Revis is a shell of himself, Drew Coleman should of played over him.

    Is Andy out of baseball? Doesn't he have a series coming up this week?

    Andy is awesome enough not to limit his talents to the mound.

    I agree with us needing to fake blitz more. I don't think we have the right guys on the line to only send 3, but maybe send 4 or 5 instead of everyone.

    I disagree with that. We've played the number one scoring offense in football in New England and the Vikings with Randy Moss and a healthy Percy Harvin. The numbers don't bear it out, for a number of reasons, but we're 4-1. As badly as we were shellacked in Baltimore, we gave up ten points. Our defense largely neutralized Adrian Peterson last night. We've gotten by minus 3 Pro Bowlers.

    I think it's too early to make judgments, but I firmly expect our defense to be performing at a world class level after the Bye week. So far, it's been very good considering.

    Chubby already telling us how lucky the Jets were to win. "They got sooooo lucky that Favre missed Harvin on that play". (o's not added for exaggeration). He also just let us know the "legacy of Revis" is getting ruined. He just said the Jets got unbelievably lucky, because the "Vikings were going to WIN that game. Harvin would still be running. No doubt. They win that game".
    He really is a miracle. Unreal.

    well... we did get very lucky. When the Jets gave the ball back with two minutes left, I think most of us thought we were doomed. When Revis fell and that ball went to Harvin I almost had a heart attack. We were lucky it was a crappy pass. Otherwise, that game would have been over.

    It is a fair analysis. Revis fell to the ground. No one was around Harvin other than the safety deep. Harvin would have gained alot of yards.

    everytime the jets win, that fat prick is one step closer to the grave.

    love it. pretty sure he'll have a heart attack and stroke at the same time if the jets win the superbowl

    Well he has a point. Revis fell down and there was a lot of green in front of Harvin. At the same time the Jets D was in his face forcing a bad throw

    I clicked on the 1st page of this thread and saw: "Francessa running his mouth again.

    Saying LT signing was stupid."

    How is that prediction going for you Mikey?

    I was suprised at just how fast Harvin is. He is becoming a very dangerous player.

    Everyone was saying that except the few smart Jets fans who knew that LT was injured for much of last year, playing on a team that was moving more toward being a passing team, with an inferior OL, and phasing LT out.

    My point is, you can say that about every close game that is played in the NFL. Patrick Crayton would STILL be running in the 2007 divisional game against the Giants, and the all of that never takes place. But the Giants weren't "lucky" to win the game. My problem is he is saying it's the REASON they won. It's not. Frankly, the way he talks about the team, you would think they're 2-3, not 4-1 with the best record in the division.

    but it's not really a fair analysis...........it's completely out of context and it's one of the reasons why I don't listen to him anymore and haven't since the Colts game we won last year. Francessa only deals in "what if's" when they put the Jets in negative light. What if the Jets converted one or 2 of those 5 FG's into a TD last night? What if the rain doesn't start pouring down at the time the Jets are driving for a potential TD (pass slides right through Keller's hands), by some accounts it could be argued that the game could have been 23-0 and none of that stuff at the end would've mattered. a lot of shit happens during a game, when the Jets win Mike always finds those few things that you can point to and say "well if this went the other way....", when the Jet's lose, god forbid a fan call and use the same approach.......then Mike will say something like "That's football"
