If you really want to get on tank, on Mike'd up right now, he has a Giants jersey, a Yankees jersey....and a Randy Moss Vikings jersey to his left. There is a Jets helmet in front of the Moss jersey, but it's out of frame when Mike is talking. So pretty much it's out of view the whole show. When he talked about MNF he didn't actually talk about the Jets. He just talked about how the Vikings could have a difficult time in the game and how adding Moss could make a difference. The fact that Favre is going to get "pressha" and could face a lot of 3rd and long. That's it.

listen to the excitement in francesa's voice when he describes the giants win. he can barely catch his breath he's so excited.

when he gives the jets credit he sounds like his pet just died.

Which is just retarded being that the Jets actually have a "front three" running the three four.

I understand his concept, but damn.

This fat dude displays such ignorance with half truths. Here's the proper way to word it ...

Usually you can't be considered a great D if you can't generate pass rush without blitzing. Because the blitz will leave you vulnerable in secondary ... it's a race of get to qb before he punishes you for the blitz. The better the offense, the better chance the opponent's qb will make you pay for the blitz.

However, since the Jets have a tremendous shutdown corner, it's ok to constantly leave him alone one receiver. So the Jets can constantly blitz & therefore get the rewards while minimizing the penalties.

It's a top defense but it doesn't follow the same formula as other great defenses.

Francesa has some knowledge but not a lot. Should spend some time reading up sports books while @ fat camp & put someone knowledgeable in that timeshift while he's away.

That's an interesting point. I'm not sure any of us thought of it like that before.

  12. Not to mention, the 3-4 is designed for the DL to occupy linemen and open lanes for the backers to get pressure. I'm guessing his "good friend Bill Pahcells" never taught him that.

Da Jets were okay last night. Dey barely won da game. Dis win puts da Jets on da map, but dat defense is not an elite defense. Da Vikings gave da Jets da game with silly turnovers. We'll get to baseball at two, back aftah dis.

i just have a feeling he's gonna be all negative about the jets tomorrow. this will be like the titan win last year. it was almost like they lost if you listened to his show that day.

While I'd say they haven't played at the level we expect out of them they are still a Top 5 D. They pretty much shut down one of the best backs in the NFL last night and did so in week 1. Where the issue is they seem to give up the big play too many times. Last night was all big plays, the two Harvin TD's and the Moss TD. You obviously can't take them away but I'd be interested to see what the Vikings numbers were on downs not 3rd and 10+.

"Duh real stawry of lass night's game iz da Jets and Rex's defense was exposed fuh what they aw. They aw nawt an 'elite' defenz. You also saw that Rex's defense is nuthin' without Revis. I'm not puttin' that puhfawmance on Revis. That wuz on that staff. Revis shuld haff been on the sideline with Joe McKnight. There is no excuse for him being allawed to play hurt last night. NONE! Also, don't fuhget Jets fans, we aw one Brett Favre intuhseption from Rex, his staff, and Sanchez being run awt of 'dis town on a rail. That wuz 'da wurst two-minute seqwence you will EVUH see in a professional futbawl game. Da WURST!."

    >> Oh well, looking forward the gems that come today.
