It's a nice gesture, but fuck enough of the pink uniforms already. We had them last week we don't need to have it every fucking game. I'm all for supporting breast cancer research but find another way
I hated the Pink taking over the NFL last year in October, and I still can't stand it this year. 1 week is fine, but for an entire month, it just screws with the uniforms.
So the NFL is trying to support breast cancer awareness by wearing the pink. I think it's a great showing, and......It's just pink. It's not that hard to deal with. We just won a football game against a great team. I'm tired of seeing threads where people are complaining about weak shit as opposed to complaining about how Schotty almost fucked us out of a W.
A few thousand pairs of pink cleats and gloves costs Nike about 100$ in labor over in china, it wouldn't make much of a difference in research.
I'm sick of breast cancer awareness. We're all fucking aware. EDIT: I'll put a disclaimer in this. My mum's best friend died from it and my auntie has it right now, I just think it is so out there that other diseases are completely left behind when the checks for them need to be promoted.
My mom is battling that shit right now, maybe its selfish since it hits me personally but I have no problem with it.
Having gone through 18 months of chemo with my wife and seeing how the research and development is helping beat this disease. A slight interference with the norm is a small sacrifice for how many lives this saves
Goodluck to you and your wife, my wife has fought it twice. It is just a colour, get over it as there are more important things to think of.
How about supporting prostate cancer? It is an under exposed cancer affecting men. Maybe wear brown gloves?
Ahhh, here it is. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=49969&highlight=breast+cancer+awareness
All the best!!! The pink is used to remind everyone about breast cancer. Do I like the color on uniforms, hats, shoes, etc???...not really, but I understand why the NFL adopted this program. Some posters just need to get over it, my Mom died of cancer and anything that can be done to help treatment and find a cure I'm 100% in favor.
