Just matching names @ random with no logic. Shiancoe is TE & Cro is not a good tackler. It's a big reason the Chargers got fed up w/ him. Coleman has moved above Wilson on the depth chart (for now). Revis on Moss .... why make him chase Moss on first game back from hamstring injury & it's a non-conference game. That whole game plan looks silly if Revis gets hurt & misses even more time. Cromartie has already shown the ability to stick Moss. == ??? Does this really make sense to you. How much Cro have to overplay big time to make sure his man never ever catches the ball ... it's not worth it.
OKay so because Revis can tackle you'd rather put him on Shancoe?? Shancoe is their leading reciever and Farves favorite target. Revis on Moss 1on1 and you use Cro + Poole on Shancoe. Is this really that far out of logic? Get real.
If you have Cro or Revis on Shiancoe, he's still gonna get a bunch of balls. Better to have Revis on Harvin and Cro on Moss, IMO.
I'd rather matchup Wilson on Shancoe if we're going to put a CB on him. Go ahead and put Cro on Moss like they did the second half of the NE game, #24 on Harvin and Wilson on Shancoe.
If Revis is 100% and gets his normal workload, he will probably shadow Moss. Then Cromartie will get whoever is on the other side and Wilson will cover the slot. Revis is supposedly going to stay on the left side for most (if not all) of the game so this discussion is moot.
i dont know about that, revis shut down antonio gates in the second half of that playoff game last year ... but the chargers werent a threat to run so we ran nickel a lot that game imo, neither revis nor cro will be doing much checking of shiancoe because we'll be in our base trying to stop all day peterson ... its up to our LBs and safeties to stop shiancoe
BTW, Shiancoe has been limited with a hamstring so a combination of Scott and Pool could probably hold him down.
idk man i kind of agree. i mean santonio didnt get suspended for having his junk plastered all over the internet. now for harassing an employee of an nfl club, maybe, but she didnt do anything for two whole years. i think he should get fined max. shes not even an nfl employee anymore and he's retiring at the end of the year (so he says as always) so why bother.
He's got a very limited point. If Sterger decided to file a sexual harrasment suit against Favre, the Jets and the NFL, you can bet you ass Favre would be out.
So if a player falls foul inside of his workplace, then Goodell should react and make judgements. In the case of Braylon, who I'm guessing this is being aimed at, his misdemeanour occurred outside of his place of work, so it should be a matter for the law and the law only at that point.
I wonder if they introduce the Offense today for intros...i am thinking so so Holmes can get a nice welcome. I don't know its tough cause i think Revis and Pace would get monster ones as well. hmmm
i think the macth-ups should be cro on moss (moss is only gonna go deep. he doesn't know the playbook and will be less motivated to be cro, also don't want revis pulling another hammy) revis on harvin (harvin is fast but dorks the inside alot and his route running isn't good enough to shake revis, plus less deep routes to risk re-injury) wilson on shianco - wilson has had trouble with WRs beating him cause he's playing conservative worried about getting beat deep and not turning his head. he has done very well on TEs though knowing he has a big speed advantage against them allows him to play more aggressive. Lowery/coleman on berrian - berrian is trash so i'm not really worried about this
Don't want to look past MIN, but look at this: Denver_Broncos Denver Broncos by JasonLaCanfora McBath, Woodyard, Goodman, Dawkins and Ayers will be out on Sunday, according to Head Coach Josh McDaniels. #fb PostBroncos Lindsay Jones by JasonLaCanfora Demaryius Thomas hasn't been ruled out yet. "We'll see how it goes," McDaniels said. Jets can use a break on a short week on the road.
