For one of the first times in as long as I can remember, I'm not terrified at the prospect of losing an upcoming game, but rather excited about the potential of what can happen. We will finally be fielding our full team and get to play a great opponent, at home, on MNF. Win or lose, I'm just excited to watch this game tonight and see how it unfolds. Should be a great one.
I can't concentrate on anything. From the moment I woke at 5am this morning, I've not had a single hour not thinking about this game. Tomorrow is now booked as a holiday just for good measure.
This game will be horrible. No one will want to watch it. It is boring. I hear they canceled TV coverage of it.
Yes, win or lose. Obviously I want to win and will be upset if we don't, but we are playing a very good opponent. It's clear we have a good team and can bounce back from a loss. Sorry I'm not like 95% of the rest of the board who feels the need to jump ship and fire the entire CS plus burn Sanchez at the stake if we lose a game.
Yeah not all of us will be jumping ship at a loss, but i'm not the type to even think about a loss before any of our games. I'll worry about losses if it happens. Until then, we will beat the shit out of everyone.
I'm not worried about a loss at all, that was kinda the point of the thread. I'm excited to see two good team play each other, and hopefully we come out on top.
It is unrealistic to expect a 15-1, and there will probably be a loss here and there until the end of the season. Rational mind would want a loss against a NFC opponent if we were to endure some losses anyway. However, I feel like this game against the Vikings is a big statement game to show the league that the Jets are for real. Some of you will jump out and say who cares what the nation thinks? Who cares about "expert" predictions? I'm gonna be honest and say that I love the fact that the Jets get much attention and respect from the league. It's a new, different feeling for a change. It's one thing to be medicore and overachieve like we've done in the past, and to be "great" and back it up. The 2010 Jets can be the latter.
No i know what you mean. I told someone this morning this is the first time this year I've been truly stoked for a game. Cannot wait to get home and watch the pregame until the end of quarter four. I think this could be a classic.
The thing is, I thought the team would be in good shape if it got to 3-2 after five games, considering how tough the early part of the schedule was. It's a good feeling to know that a win would do so much for the team, but a loss would not be devastating to the team's chances. I haven't felt that very often as a Jets fan.
i get what youre saying, i was even nervous for the buffalo game ... but for some reason im not nervous for this one, just super amped hopefully we come out on top, 4-1 looks so much better than 3-2
