down 6 with about 7 minutes remaining, USC went for it on 4th and 10 from the Stanford 32. Incomplete. Looking good for Stanford now. USC needs someone who can kick. Joe Houston is not good.
ABC in New York just left the FSU rout to show the end of the Stanford game. USC driving, down 6. USC drops a pass in the endzone.
Bradford runs it in. XP gives USC the lead, because Stanford missed an XP earlier. 35-34 with 1:08 remaining
Stanford in FG range. Looks like Nate Whitaker will have a chance to win it here. USC helping Stanford with a very dumb personal foul. Whitaker's first try since he missed the XP. 30 yard FG... ... it's GOOD!!!! Stanford wins. Silly comment by one of the announcers, saying that Stanford will be a popular pick for a BCS bowl bid if they win out. Talk about an obvious statement.
The decade of USC dominance is officially over. Lane Kiffin won't be there too long and scandal will follow him as usual.
I'm sorry but being an LSU fan is too difficult, that being said now Im super pumped because the SEC championship game is a legitimate possibility
They'll be alright. They're still USC, they'll still get the best players in the country, and they'll still win a lot of games...they just have some competition now. The PAC-10 is most definitely more talented than it has been in the past. Oregon, Stanford, and USC should battle for the title for years. It will be awesome for college football.
You mean a 2 loss team like Ole Miss??? LSU is basically a QB away from contending. If we can figure it out, then their is nothing to stop us from being a legit SEC team. I know this because even though we lost one of our best defensive players, we still defensively handled Florida one of the better SEC teams.
LSU is not a great football team. "Handling" the Florida offense this year when Jeff Demps isnt playing is nothing to be proud of. Emmanuel Moody is a bad HB and Brantley was playing with cracked ribs and a broken thumb. I wont harp on this either but in reality LSU should already have 2 losses. They lucked out against Tennessee because it didnt matter how many player were on the field because the snap was bad and then against Florida I still believe that toss to the kicker was a pass and should have been incomplete. Regardless, Les Miles is just not a great coach and has been the luckiest coach I have ever seen. Is it possible his luck will continue? Sure its lasted this long, but based on the quality of the team, LSU is not a BCS bowl team.
Your first part I agree with to an extent, but LSU was still dominating the LOS in that game even without Jeff Demps. Also UF is not just the Jeff Demps show. Also, you know the first 14 Gator points were when they started from within the LSU 40 off of two turnovers. I cant comment on the fake, I thought it was going to be called a forward pass for no reason.
Huge News: UNC dismissed DT Marvin Austin from their football team plus DE Robert Quinn and WR Greg Little were ruled permanently ineligible. Quinn and Austin are both big time pro prospects.
...guess you didn't see Trey Burton play? RB Mike Gillislee is also a solid player. Their passing game is definitely what's holding them back. They have a lot of speed at the wide receiver position, but no one's really stepped up and become a big play guy.
Pretty punchless without him. Look at the production. They need him back at 100%. They also need Pouncey to snap the ball accurately more consistently, as it sounds like he's going to remain the starting center.
