I've been happy with Cromartie up to this point, I agree that he his holding up our secondary in the absence of Revis. Just think where we'd be if Revis was here for camp and was in 09 form.

What's not measured here is their ability to stop a score, which Cromartie does a great job. Those targets are ridiculous, I can't believe the action he's getting.

Stats are a bit skewed since we've only played 4 games, but I'm sure that by Week 8 we'll be just as great on defense statistically as we were last season.

Yeah as long as Revis can get back to being Revis this experience for Cro has only made him better and will be a scary thought with Cro covering the #2.

We've survived without a few key players, once we are a t full strength it will be tough to score on this defense.

Wow. Look at that. Drew Coleman is a super-duper, shut-down corner. Let's put him on Moss this week and tell Revis to take another week off.

Those metrics concern items that are all relevant, and do serve to an extent in making comparisons. But they also leave out tackles, made and missed, and other factors.

One comparison factor left out is something I think would apply to whoever the corner is who is guarding the opponent's best receiver/deep threat receiver will, all other things being equal, have somewhat worse numbers than the other corners.

This guy is a idiot, doesn't he know that the reason why Coleman has been targeted only 5 times is because opposing QB's are scared to throw in his direction?? What a moron.

Spread the word. Tell the rest of the world how to bring these sons of bitches down.

Just as good, not just as great. We were not a great D last year.

Fuck the stats...Ive watched Wilson get shit on more than once but as a rookie its expected.

I dont know shit about playing CB in the NFL but it seems as though hes always "on" the guy hes covering he just doesnt get his head turned around. Im assuming it comes with more experience. I can remember several plays this year where he either could have had an INT or a defended pass if he just got his head around.

Thats why I hope Revis is back Monday. I feel like Harvin...although not that great himself...could put a hurtin on Wilson. Plus if Revis isnt back then whos gonna cover Berrian..Coleman?!? Why not? According to this hes elite!

Can someone also cut and paste KC Joyner's article about how the Pats are going to be fine without Moss? I wanted to read it but don't have Insider.

LOL. I never wondered why people on this board hated Coleman so much last year. He got picked apart by PEYTON MANNING last year. An inexperienced player (26 years old...but no significant playing time) out there against Manning in the playoffs was not going to shut down the passing attack.

He has shown improvement this year, and even got his start last week. Clearly, Coleman has gotten better and its seeming Lowery get bumped down to the 5th spot (I loved Lowery, but I think he probably is not athletically gifted whatsoever for the NFL). I still believe Coleman is a great #4 guy, and possibly could be the #3 in the future.

Lowery is great on the pass rush. So that's something . . .

Thank you. I assume you mean someone who doesn't just wave pom poms and knows what he is talking about.

Anyone who thinks we had a great D last year just doesn't know football. Our D was as good as their was in the NFL but it was not GREAT, great D's don't fold in crunchtime as much as our D did last year.

Wilson is guarding the #3 reciever, not the #1 like Cromartie.

Personally I don't care, people learn at different rates. He will learn.

And he has been pretty good in the Red Zone... how many times has a reciever scored a TD on him in the end zone?

0 times I believe...dont take my word for it though.
