Dude's a beast - he was in a serious car accident last off-season and he's lucky to be alive. I'm surprised he came back so fast from it. I don't think he has the size to play in the 3-4, but he hits hard as hell. I think he'd be a great fit on a team like the Colts or the Bucs.
Bruce Carter and Quan Sturdivant are animals. They should both be first round picks, but I would rate Carter a bit above because he's an absolute athletic specimen. Quinton Coples and Tydreke Powell were both stepping up nicely as well. Zack Pianalto is a top notch TE prospect as well.
He had 4 TFL and 3 sacks vs Rutgers, so if he keeps that up he'll be looking pretty good by the end of the year. A lot of it may be due to how awful the RU OL is, but it'll be interesting to see how OLs approach him when Quinn comes back.
I don't know if anyone has said it, but Donta' Hightower has been a HUGE disappointment so far this season. He has been a liability in pass coverage(he was subbed out a lot against Arky), has missed tackles, and outside the first quarter of the Penn State game, he hasn't put pressure on the QB. It may be him coming off a knee injury that's hurting him, but weighing a biscuit under 280 isn't doing him any favors...
Greg Jones has been awesome against Wisconsin today. He's gonna do great in a 43 system. The Giants and the Bucs could both use him.
Two impressive performances from a couple of 5'9" players today. Michigan State's Edwin Baker has broken off a few nice inside runs and Tennessee LB Shane Reveiz looked great in coverage.
I've been hesitant to make any noise about him because I keep thinking he'll come back to earth, but Miami's Damien Berry is just a good, tough running back. And Leonard Hankerson has been a beast too, somehow. I still assume drops when a pass goes his way, but he's been kicking ass for a while now.
Harris has been really good all season. He didn't really deserve all the hype he was getting preseason based on his first two years, but he's earning the respect now. He and Janoris Jenkins are going to crash that first round CB party if they keep it up.
Dion Lewis who? Ray Graham is taking names this year, ESPN had him on pace for about 150 carries and 1,500 yards because of his obnoxious ten yard ypc.
I'm a fan of Florida wide receiver Carl Moore, who I think would be a good late round guy to take a flyer on. He had a back issue that kept him out last year, but he has great size and what looked like a reliable set of hands.
Lewis' dropoff and nagging shoulder is pissing me the fuck off. Graham is the only thing making the team remotely watchable. How he can manage that ypc behind that Tony Wise-coched OLine is beyond me. God I hope Wannstedt gets the can this season. /rant
