1. Colts - Manning + a solid pass rush 2. Packers - Clay Matthews scares me 3. Jets - need Revis back healthy 4. Saints - their offense will soon kick into high gear 5. Steelers - if they're this good without Ben... I know, where are the Bears? The Packers looked much better. They got lucky. Where are the Chiefs? I don't believe. The Pats? I don't see them winning against any of these teams.
Truth be told I'm finding it hard to believe that the Steelers are the best team in the league without Ben playing. But then I look at all the other teams out there and they have weaknesses as well. There is no dominant team this year like ay the Patriots the year they went undefeated in the regular season. This is my top 15 so far.... 1. Pittsburgh (Because they are undefeated) 2. Baltimore 3. New York Jets (Only cause they lost to Baltimore...you still have the better defense) 4. Atlanta (Beat NO heads up) 5. New Orleans 6. Indianapolis 7. Miami 8. New England 9. Chicago (Beat GB heads up) 10. Green Bay 11. Houston (I think they just had an off day against a pissed off Dallas team) 12. Philadelphia 13. Kansas City (They need to prove they are for real a bit more) 14. Tennessee (Good running game and defense) 15. Cincinnati
1. Jets - Holmes, Pace and Revis coming back 2. Steelers - Ben is coming 3. Ravens - I don't trust their offense 4. Colts - they depend too much on Manning 5. Giants - I was impressed by what I saw vs Bears.
The Giants had 9 sacks in the first half and knocked out Cutler. The 3-0 Bears got gang raped. When Tuck and Umenyiora get going they are a tough team to beat. I would favor the Giants over Saints, Packers, Falcons. Ok, I have an anti-Patriot bias. lol...maybe Pats should be at #5
It was a dominant performance but that OL on Chicago is pathetic. They weren't even blitzing. Plus Cutler held the ball for an hour before getting rid of it. The Giants showed something (finally) on Sunday night but to think they are in the top 5 is insane. The score was 3-0 for most of the game. It was pathetic.

So you rank the Jets and Steelers ahead of Baltimore who beat both of them....oh and you don't even put Baltimore in the top 5. You also honestly think that the Chiefs and Chargers are better than Baltimore? You also think SD is better than the 3-1 defending champs? BTW I'd put my Steelers at 3....behind Baltimore and the Jets
1. Jets-No other team looks impressive enough for me to not pick my team. 2. Steelers-They are looking solid yet again, bastards. 3. Colts- Their D is hurting them and Peyton can't be amazing every year. 4. Ravens- Not playing to their supposed potential but they are doing well. 5. Falcons- Playing tough. Defense is playing well. 6. Packers- They are shaky at the moment but when things come together they will be scary 7. Patriots- Bastards are good on offense but lets see what happens down the stretch. 8. Texans-They are getting better year in year out. 9. Broncos- No one really talks about them, but Orton looks really good, if only they had a really good RB this offense would be terrifying. 10. Chiefs- They are 3-0 and though they may be pretenders, they are looking good ATM. 11. Saints- They are not looking very good at all, they got some wins over shitty Minnesota and San Fran. 12. Redskins- 2-0 in their division and got unlucky against the Texans, team looks promising. 13. Seahawks- They look very good at home, terrible on the road. 14. Chargers- See Seahawks 15. Rams- two in a row, against Skins and hawks, they are looking nice for a rebuilding team. Defense is playing better then expected.
At the moment, in any power ranking, you could list NYJ, PITT, and BAL 1 2 or 3 in any order you choose, all 3 teams look the strongest in the league atm
The Ravens have are scoring very few points and have one of the worst passing games in the league. The Steelers have the league's best defense to offset their non-existent passing game and are at least scoring above league average. I'm sure some of that is due to opponent's weaknesses. I expect Baltimore to climb in my rankings as they start to play more weak teams. They have had a top 3 difficulty schedule so far and I don't have adjustments for that in my system. Footballoutsiders does have opponent adjustments but in week 4 the adjustments are weak and the Jets D does not appear to be all that great just yet. KC is winning the turnover and point differential battles. Their only weakness is their passing game (and it is a big weakness.) I expect their ranking to drop a bit but they face weak competition all year long. San Diego, again against a weak schedule, is killing in points differential and opponents have shown a good pass defense so far. Like KC, they will face a very weak schedule all year. So, if SD or KC had played Baltimore on a neutral field with Baltimore playing the way they have, SD or KC would have won. We may only get to see one of those occur and probably will see one of those games in teh wild card round as things stand. I also expect Baltimore's ranking to improve, assuming no major injuries to Baltimore personnel. As far as Baltimore goes I thought that the Jets and Cincy showed how to beat them. Line up and get after Flacco. He gets rattled in the pocket and starts performing erratically. Why the Steelers were unable to take advantage of a weak right side of Baltimore's offensive line disturbs and confuses me. Without Ed Reed Baltimore has a league low number of takeaways, tied with mighty Buffalo. Buffalo has fewer giveaways however. Again, I expect Baltimore to improve in my rankings as they face weaker opponents. NO is just about breaking even in points differential and turnovers. Their defense is giving up alot of yards on the ground and through the air. Their defense last year had alot of takeaways, this year not so many. Offensively they are still not running the ball well at all and their passing game, while good, is not yet great enough to make up for a lack of points production and rushing yardage.
Giants at #5? I mean, out of the remaining 28 teams after the top 4, you picked Giants to be the best team??
