Did anyone catch it this morning? Skip Bayless said somethin intelligent, yeah I know I was in shock myself. he said and I quote "the Jets are playing the best football in the NFL" Link to the first take clip I know I watch First Take all the time and figured I would make this for people to post new First Take stuff in
I saw it, I posted a Bayless tweet about this in the Jets twitter thread. He basically admits he was wrong about the Jets which is rare for him
I'm sick of the media jumping on and off the bandwagon so easily. Week 1 was a good way in identifying who those people are. Don't welcome them back.
yeah Skip hates to swallow his pride and admit he's wrong and usually defends it if he does, but he didn't even try to make a case for his original statements and they are NOT welcome back, just making an example if anything Im like LeBron, I'm making mental note about all these non-believers
Yeah most of them are just bandwagoners but there's a few who've actually believed in us from the beginning. Jim Rome and Bruschi are about it on ESPN.
Yeah, but I think the problem is let us lose another game or 2 and these guys will say "see, I was right in the first place, I knew it all along, yadda yadda" instead of sticking with this "the Jets are great" even after we lose a few.
Fun fact: The original name of "First Take" was "ESPN's TV Equivalent Of A Botched Mexican Abortion".
I thought it was funny the 3rd guy on the show was saying that the Ravens are playing the best football in the NFL. Maybe its just me but they look absolutely atrocious this season
to your point, I agree the ravens have really looked like poop, and ray rice or mcgahee hasnt done anything their run game is non existent this last win against charlie batch and company was their most impressive win, I mean they beat us by one point with us having 176 yards of total offence and giving them 125 yards in penalties, we were 1-11 for 3rd downs and still after all of this the "oh so great" raves beat us by only a point?...
Ironically skip bayless thought rex would we be a star coach when he was hired and thought rex was the mastermind of the ravens that went to the AFC Championship Game in 2008. He just got sick and tired of the bravado. He wasn't too high on Sanchez coming into the season, interestingly enough questioning his intangibles. That's the one thing that really jumped out. It's hard to question a guy's intangibles when he has his best college football game in the rose bowl and plays the best game of his rookie season in the playoffs? It looks like people are lining up to get on the bandwagon.
And Eisen is a Jets fan and from Staten Island. He is by far the best sports anchor on television. I wish he'd work more, he seems to have slowed down and I think it's due to family. I understand and support the move, but I can never get enough of watching him captain a show on NFLN.
