Cotchery on the other team's 3rd CB when we go 3 wide is going to be a problem for the rest of the NFL.
I'd like to see a first snap five-wide with four (Holmes, Edwards, Cotchery, Keller) on an All-Go and LT dragging across 10 yards up the field.
The fact that they could all line up in the slot on any play makes for match up nightmares for a defense. Imagine a 5'9" nickel on Edwards in the slot on a 3rd and 5?
don't forget brad smith. send all those guys long and swing a short pass to brad smith and watch him dance backward into the end zone.
Slow down. I know that we will be good, but that doesn't mean we want Brad Smith giving them safeties.
I'm excited about how good our offense will look with all those guys We can have Holmes at the X, Edwards at the Z, JCo in the slot, Keller at TE or spread out wide, LT coming out the backfield Is there anybody in the league who can match up with us man to man? I think we might be seeing a lot of zone defenses, if all these guys can stay healthy/out of trouble rest of the way also can spread em out and put Greene in the backfield and kill em with the run
The keys to this whole thing working and running up the score on teams is the offensive line and Sanchez's ability to find the soft spot. Which has already started. If I was planning against Sanchez the only way I see messing things up is consistent pressure. Matt Slauson had better get his balls ready. This will be a tall order considering all the weapons. It's very Colts like in that there is a receiver everywhere that can catch. Three deep threats and short stuff all around for quickies. Plus our receivers go up for jumps and catch from behind. It's a nightmare. I don't have to say it but this is the best Jets offense I've seen in my lifetime. Did you guys see Cotchery get dialed up for like three in a row when they covered Braylon and Keller this weekend? I'm so giddy...thanks Tanny.
Holmes had training camp, pre season and jets west to develop chemistry with Sanchez. Braylon came in week 5 to a entirely new playbook. Huge difference. Not even factoring sanchez's maturation into the equation
Yeah that was awesome. It was basically Sanchez and Schotty saying "we can do whatever the fuck we want." Now when you take out 2 of our guys we will have 2 other legit weapons running around for Sanchez to find.
I heard earlier that holmes was still around the facilities, and keepeing in touch w/his teamates, during his suspension, so they shouldnt be to out of sync. I know most suspensions you cant have any contact w/the organization, but in holmes case he was.
it just gives sanchez another option to throw too and another guy for defenders to pay attention to opening the field up even more for guys like keller braylon and cotchery and also opening the running game more u cant put 8 men in the box vs the jets anymore
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5647755 In the first four games, Sanchez spread the ball around to four primary receivers: tight end Dustin Keller (targeted 30 times), wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (21), wide receiver Braylon Edwards (19) and running back LaDainian Tomlinson (19).
