so are we, but you had to dig your own, Keller is a bust thread? Could have sworn we saw several in the first few weeks of his rookie season...

Actually this was draft day, not rookie season.
The self-deprecating humor and irony are probably over your head.
Anyway, it is a good reminder to all of us that perhaps our front office knows more about what they are doing then we give them credit for.

In my defense, if I'd known they were drafting a top 5 franchise QB two years later I'd have looked at the deal a bit differently. Chad couldn't use a tightend for his life. He didn't have the arm for it.

    I fucking love being right.

Still wish my friend kept the voicemail.

One of my proudest football moments was calling this pick.

The 3rd year is the breakout year.

Remember the "Devin Thomas" chant during draft day?

    Hindsight is not a defense.
Enjoy your humble pie - sitting next to me - and don't try to make any excuses.

Yeah the deal worked out. That doesn't change the fact that trading up to get a TE usually is a bad move.

I never thought DT would be anything more than a very good special team player.

I was a Donnie Avery, Eddie Royal, and James Hardy guy.... But I wanted Hardy the most that year

And FTR of that draft in 08: I fucking hated Kentwan Balmer. I happy I called that one :) -- that just popped in my head out of nowhere.

Eddie Royal is having a great year so far. I picked up for my fantasy team after week 1 and he got me another 22 points or so this week

He is a damn good route runner. McDaniels knows how to call an offense, and has made Kyle Orton look good. Royal is reaping the benefits.

He's also benefiting big time from the absence of Brandon Marshall. Royal that is. Orton looks like he could throw to just about anybody and get completions these days. WR's are over-rated.
