I have Knowshown Moreno as my usual starting RB but he has gone down with an injury for 2 weeks now. I do not trust Corell Buckhalter or Brandon Jacobs (my bench) to put up more than 5 points. This is a very deep 16 team league with not many available RB's, and none that aren't backups. Do I give Woodhead or Leon a shot? Or would Kenneth Darby, John Kuhn, Fred Taylor, or Javon Ringer be a safer bet?
Leon has averaged 2 fantasy points a game so far. What makes anyone think he's poised for a breakout? The funniest trend right now is everyone claiming the Seahawks D/ST off waivers based on Leon's performance. Rubes.
Darby and Ivory could be good week by week pickups if Jackson or Thomas don't play this week. Both missed practice today
Kuhn, he is the Packers primary back even though Jackson gets the start. He is avg. 5 yds per carry and getting 3rd down and goal line touches. I wouldn't be surprised if Kuhn gets the green light and becomes their starting running back by week 6.
I'm in the same situation - 16 team league and I have Felix Jones (bye) and Donald Brown (injured) as my backups. I'm starting Torain and hoping Portis looks terrible early. Is Torain available in your league?
I think the best sleeper right now would be Marshawn Lynch. Just because there's a good chance that he gets traded and becomes a starter somewhere.
Torain is excellent if he can stay healthy. I liked him at ASU, so I picked him up late in 2008 when Denver was having trouble with healthy backs. He gave me nearly 13 points in just over a quarter before getting injured and missing the rest of the season (and all of the next). If he stays healthy, he can be VERY good in Shanahan's system.
You should get Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis, if he's available. He should be getting the start tomorrow night.
Besides Torrain, I think LeGarret Blount will be starting in Tampa Bay before the season is over. Caddy isnt getting it done and rumor is they want to give Blount a shot.
