Did McKnight get drfated in rd or rd 4? in camp and preseason he was outplayed by UDFAs, he didn't even look like a 4th rounder. The success of this deal hinges upon whether McKnight becomes a player in this league- if he does it was a good move but if not it was a bad move. His ceiling is not unbelievably high, his ceiling is not as high as leon was at his peak for us. He has potentially, he has physical attributes than many do not have but there are a million guys w/ the physical talent that do not make it.
And yet you're already prepared to say we gave Leon away for nothing. That's what's so hilarious. What the fuck? His ceiling is a lot higher than Leon's as a RB. Where do you come up with this?
injuries can get worse with repeated wear and tear........ not to mention, it gets COLD in November. :breakdance:
I can't believe people are still crying over spilt milk. We lost Leon and got better, what's so hard to understand about that? It's like replacing that spilt milk with a nice tall beer. Stop your whining and enjoy the fact that we're a better team this year than we were last year.
How are you going to to judge Joe McKnight on sucking during the offseason, and in preseason? Hey maybe Joe McKnight is completely embarrassed from Hard Knocks, puking, and playing like shit. We will find out if Joe McKnight is a football player or not. Maybe after his embarrassment he is looking to prove people wrong, or maybe he sucks. I don't expect every draft pick to be a fucking superstar.
It was bout the same tempertaure in NE and tennessee aas it was for the denver game where the season started heading south.
We thought he'd be completely embarrassed puking at mini camp and that he'd use that as motivation for TC but then he failed his conditioning test. It's too early to make any long term judgement on him and of course every pick does not hit BUT when you give away your best playmaker thinkig you have his replacement you better hit on that pick.
The weather for that denver game was the most miserable game weather I've ever attended. I only see 1 or 2 games a year but that was completely miserable with the rain, just above freezing temps and wind.
It was a terrible game weather wise but temp wise it was similar. In SF the next week it was 50+ degrees so I just don't buy that excuse.
You are posting in multiple threads now. You still don't seem to grasp Leon contract situation. Making you premise incorrect.
I don't think you do, there was not a shot he was getting a Jones-Drew type of deal. You guys are so hung up on the agent and the wife as if they were dictating the price the Jets were going to spend.
Right, the Jets weren't paying what Leon's agent wanted so after this season Leon would have been gone for the highest possible contract. That contract would not have come from the Jets. Why is this difficult? They chose to get something for Leon when they could instead of getting nothing for him down the road.
