That sucks, because I was taught by some charger fans that all thier recent championships were won because of tall receivers.

    I guess we'er fucked now.

Enjoy this year, we may never see a receiving corps like this again. Holy shit, throw Keller in the mix and it's a sick group...

I'm happy we got him and not some tall jump ball WR. We have that in Braylon Edwards, he's 6-3. We also have that in Dustin Keller, a big physical TE that plays like a WR. He's 6-2. Santonio may only be 5'10 (he's not necessarily a midget) but he's shifty and will run wild across the middle of the field. I think his YAC this season will be tremendous.

If I were Schotty I'd run BE deep with Keller and Cotchery on intermediate routes. Then just use Holmes akin to the Pats use of Welker on short routes and screens where he can just take chunks of yards off the field every time he touches the ball. edit: typo, fixed.. thanks nycztonee

Fixed it , but yeah. I agree somewhat.

Santonio has the ability to beat anyone with his speed so i would send him deep on multiple occasions.

I still crack up whenever I think about those pundits choosing the Chargers if for no other reason than the fact that their receivers are tall, and that our defense will have trouble against them.

    So stupid.

That was one of the most entertaining threads of my time here on TGG. 'DUDE VINCENT JACKSON IS TOO TALL REVIS CAN'T COVER HIM' ad nauseam.

The one piece we're missing on O is the second phase in the TE attack. A big, physical TE who can catch passes in heavy traffic and punish safeties and linebackers in the flat. I like Hartsock, but I'm thinking a guy in the vein of Heath Miller. The Patriots did it in just one year if those 2 TE rookies continue to perform like they have. Hernandez and Gronkowski are perfect compliments to each other.
