Ravens release Trevor Pryce (Update: Signs w/Jets)

I just don't see linemen going from 6 sacks to shot in 1 offseason. My guess is that he will be starting opposite Ellis, with the young guys spelling them both.

 

Until Cowlishaw or Incarceratedbob report it, I won't believe it.

I'm sure Rex and Co. worked him out well, another plus he already knows Rex's D. He can step right in and contribute right away.

We have some guys that are old as fuck though, Mark Brunell 40, Pryce 35, Jason Taylor 36.

Maybe Pryce can dole out some veteran leadership.

 

For some reason I feel like laughing at Ray Lewis more than the Ravens for this.

No matter what happens, this has been one damn exciting Jets season so far!

For all the Jets hate in the media, it sure seems any player who's ever played under Rex is willing to follow him anywhere. Now, what's that say?

Terrell Suggs: Trevor Pryce signed with Jets

A day after he was released by the Baltimore Ravens in a move that appeared to be only temporary, defensive lineman Trevor Pryce may have left for the New York Jets.

Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs wrote on Twitter that Pryce had signed with the Jets, and although there's been no formal announcement, the Ravens seem to think it's a done deal, as the team's Twitter account re-tweeted Suggs' tweet.

From the Jets' perspective, the move makes sense: Pryce played for Jets coach Rex Ryan for three seasons while Ryan was the Ravens' defensive coordinator. It won't take Pryce long to get up to speed in the Jets' defense.

Pryce can take his termination pay from the Ravens and still play and get paid for the rest of the season for the Jets.

UPDATE: Just after we clicked publish on this item, PFT was able to confirm that Pryce is, indeed, going to the Jets.

This truly makes me wonder how many more Ravens Rex will snag the next couple of years.

I mean we all know how badly Ray Lewis wasnted to be here. Who knows whatll happen when guys like Ngata/Suggs get older.

Shame Rex didnt rope in Dwan Edwards over the offseason though
