"That's a BINGO!" Despite Coleman's reputation as toast, he knows how to look for the ball and - I think, more importantly - he's more physical right now than Wilson is. Believe me, I've been very critical of Coleman like everyone else has, but if he's gonna get flagged less and play more more physical at the LoS than Wilson will, then Rex probably thinks he's the better option right now. Regarding Lowery: I can't remember where/when I heard this, but I thought someone reported that Revis' holdout forced the CS to keep Lowery at CB this Offseason, whereas, if Revis had been there all along, Lowery would have been developing more at Safety because his Safety skills seemingly outweigh his cover skills, which has becoming increasingly evident.
When Revis comes back Wilson will be playing the slot so I don't see how this is a bad thing. Now he's just getting ready to take on his original playing spot. This is good news.
if Rex decides to start Coleman over Wilson....he's playing with fire. Period. Rex always said the best players will play......I find it hard to believe that Coleman is more talented than Wilson....in fact, I'd take it as an insult if I were KDub.
I bet if you sink Cowlishaw further into that toilet in your avatar.....he'll probably see Coleman's career swimming around in there.
JennyVrentas To clarify earlier tweet:Ryan said Coleman worked w/1s "not necessarily" 2 push Wilson. Jets think he deserves a look + want him ready. #nyj about 1 hour ago via web
I like to refer to Sanchez's quote today about him having a couple good games when referring to Coleman's recent improvement. “Every trash can gets a steak once in a while.”
The 1st thing that crossed my mind when I saw the thread title........ "What happened to Lowery" ??? :breakdance:
In my opinion Coleman has been better then Lowery but still i don't trust him starting. I Would give Wilson the start.
Coleman may have done well on a few plays last week but starting him one on one on a wideout is just going to be a nightmare.
It's pretty pathetic that Coleman is a better corner than Lowery. How can starting Coleman even be an option?
Coleman earned it last week. He showed a surprising amount of improvement against the Phins and as I said before, he was the best DB on the field when he was on the field. Hopefully he keeps it up if he makes it out there.
