Cornerback Drew Coleman took first-team reps along with Kyle Wilson opposite Antonio Cromartie in practice today. With Revis likely out, Ryan said the ideal situation would be to play Coleman on the outside and move Wilson back into nickel.
Does this mean Rex is overreacting? Wasn't Coleman a few months ago considered by many on this board the worst CB to ever wear pads?
Coleman has done well in the past two weeks.... shocklingly. I don't see him doing any better than Wilson. Wilson is a better nickel than Coleman, and I think that's why this decision was made. Coleman needs the sideline to help him, Wilson can play the two way routes against slot WRs.
I watch all the Jets games. I don't believe Lowery is any better than Coleman. You disagree. That's fine.
Coleman has played well so far thius year, but thats in limited snaps. Lowery is still giving too much cusion at the line and not being disruptive on short routes, I'm guessing thats not sitting well with Rex because his defense is about pressure on the QB and throwing off timing on short routes in the passing game. It will be interesting to see how Coleman handles an expanded role. Maybe a couple of years with Rex and company has turned him around.
I'd rather us stick with Wilson and let him fight off the adversity..... Surprised with how far Lowery has fallen on the depth chart. It could have something to do with him throwing in the towel during TC.
Hahaha yeah and that. I recall beefing with people here over whether or not this guy would wind up being a competent #2 for us. Fuck no.

lowery is better then coleman. i don't mind lowery or coleman though, they aren't that bad. maurice cole is absolutely horrible. i think we only kept him for special teams play
He lost a bet with a Dolphins fan. He made his first mistake betting with a Dolphins fan. You just should not do that. The risk/reward factor is not good. You don't want to lose and have to wear a Dolphins jersey or jacket for a week or use a Dolphins avatar on a message board.
