They can probably do something real cool with the jump to hyperspace.

I used to be. As a 12 year old, I thought I, II and III were great. Now I can't stand I or II and thinking Revenge of the Sith rivaled the original 3 sounds like a joke to me now. (I used to say that).

Admit it. You only changed your mind when the cool kids told you that the first three sucked.

I thought so too, but I watched it recently for the first time in like 5 years and it was not as good. The acting is just too bad.

I think they are every bit as bad as people make them out to be. I mean, Obi Wan Kenobi goes to Mel's Diner in space to get information about a poison dart from a greasy alien chef wearing an apron? there is nothing about that that even remotely fits in with the universe established in the original movies, not even the cantina in the first one.

How about the fact that there are more plot holes in any one of the new ones than all three originals combined?

Like, why did Boba Fett (a bounty hunter) hire another BOUNTY HUNTER to kill Amadala? And instead of shooting a rocket into her bedroom, with her window wide open, she uses some poisonous worm? Ugh. Terrible.

same difference, Jango Fett was just a lame way to bring the Boba Fett character into the new movies. but that just points out another lame element of the movie -- baby Boba Fett. I get it, it makes a character aimed at 5 year olds. that's fine. it also makes it a movie for 5 year olds who don't care about story or structure.

It's not the "same difference." If you're going to get all Star Wars nerdy on the subject, then no, it wasn't the same thing.

Jango Fett's "murder" left Boba Fett orphaned. That led him down a path that eventually turned into him becoming a bounty hunter.

I hate arguing with people about Star Wars. It's so stupid. Either you like the movies, comics, figurines, legos, video games, or the plethora of other material produced for it, or you don't. But spending a lot of time bitching about how something bastardizes the franchise is utterly ridiculous. If you don't like it, don't spend money on it. Problem solved. Lucas didn't invade your mind and steal your precious childhood memories from you.

who said anything about bastardizing or bitching or stealing memories? by your logic, any critique or discussion about it must be nerdy or bitching about my childhood. not at all. the movies are bad movies for reasons pointed out, grasping those basic elements of storytelling don't equate to being a Star Wars nerd because they are an ability that isn't unique to being directed at Star Wars, simply in a discussion about Star Wars they are being utilized. the only one as sensitive as you think people who criticize the movies is apparently you if you jump to such ridiculous conclusions that can only be the repercussion of an emotional reaction to someone's critique.

the fact that you couldn't even decipher that I am obviously not claiming the Fett's are the same character, simply the fact that Jango Fett is a lame way to bring that same character into the new movie, reveals the nerd rage is on the accuser. I mean, you then went into an entire backstory for motivation of the characters. yes, such a deep character that Boba Fett is. what a much better movie Clones is now that I am aware of that.

Millennium Falcon being chased by TIE fighters through an asteroid belt. Yeah, that might be cool.

Id pay just to see 4,5 and 6 in the theatres again, could care less if they add 3-d or not, but something extra is kinda cool.

    100% with you Alio.

One of the great joys I have with Star Wars is living through it all again with my boys. They have all the Star Wars toys that I didn't have growing up. We even made our own little star wars film recently. My kids like Jar Jar Binks. That sucks but whatever.

I hope they add a scene somewhere in the rereleases that explains how a screw-up student like Luke can feel his friends' hell in Cloud City from the swamp of Dagobah...
while Yoda sits across a desk from The Emperor multiple times without feeling the slightest tinge.
I mean, he feels Anakin chop the heads off Tusken Raiders from across the galaxy but he has no knowledge whatsoever of Darth Sidious.

And on the subject of Darth Sidious - he feels Anakin getting charred on Mustafar, but he can't feel Luke anywhere? Like buying power converters in Toshi Station every other weekend? Do you realize how many probe droids were wasted because that guy got old and/or lazy? They could have spent that money on better shields! x2!

These questions all have the same answer. Darth Sidious was able to hide himself from the Jedi with his powers. This is mentioned in ROTS when Mace Windu says he is more powerful than they realized and it would take 4 Jedi masters to try and take him down. Just as Sidious was able to hide from the Jedi, Yoda and Obi Wan hide Luke and Leia from Sidious and Vader.

The Emperor, could be explained that his power was strong enough to hide it from Yoda.
The Luke thing, i dont feel like coming up with an explanation but there probably about 10 for every "hole" in the stroy.

    edit:yea what he said^

I'd like to see some of you Star Wars nerds that LOVE Episode 1,2, and 3 to explain the midichlorian bullshit that Lucas pulled out of his ass for the prequels.
