Plain and simple the Pats will have a Top 10 pick. My biggest fear is they get one of three players that could instantly make them scary again.

    Those are:

    Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama

    AJ Green, WR, Georgia

    Von Miller, OLB/DE. Texas A&M

Every aspect of each of those players they could draft make there team instantly 1st place contenders next season.

Ingram- If the rest of the Pats stay healthy and TE Aaron Hernandez continue to play well, New England's offense would become insanely explosive with Mark Ingram as a threat coming out of the backfield. With such a whole for years now at RB for the Pats this adds a whole new aspect to there system.

Green- All I have to say is if Moss is re-signed thats a WR core of Moss, Green, and Welker in the slot. Not such a great sign for any secondary.

Miller- Last but certainly not least, Von Miller is the best pure rush linebacker in the 2011 Draft. His presence on the Pats defense whether it be at 3-4 OLB or 3-4 DE ( Which he can play some downs at) could be terrifing and the Pats LB core could be one of the youngest and most solid in the league next to ours.

Now heres my question. Which do you think if drafted out of these three would be the biggest threat to the Jets contending for 1st place?

I don't think the Raiders will finish that poorly. I think they'll be in the 12 to 15 range at worst.

AJ Green is the best receiver prospect that I've ever seen. If Moss re-signs, the Patriots won't draft him.

Von Miller isn't the best rush linebacker in this draft. I'm almost certain he won't be a top ten pick either.

Mark Ingram makes the most sense for New England.

I think they'll go after another corner.

None of these players will make the Patriots a first place team. Their defense is horrible.

Im not to sure about that E.

there 1-2 right now and look at there upcoming schedule.

    My picks IMO:

    4 Sun, Oct 3 vsHouston 4:05 PM - L
    5 Sun, Oct 10 vsSan Diego 4:15 PM - L
6 Sun, Oct 17 @San Francisco 4:05 PM L Possible win but i think the 9ers will have there shit together by then
    7 Sun, Oct 24 @Denver 4:15 PM - Toss-up
    8 Sun, Oct 31 vsSeattle 4:15 PM Toss-up
    9 Sun, Nov 7 vsKansas City 4:15 PM - L
    10 BYE WEEK
    11 Sun, Nov 21 @Pittsburgh 1:00 PM - L
    12 Sun, Nov 28 vsMiami 4:05 PM - L
    13 Sun, Dec 5 @San Diego 4:05 PM - L
    14 Sun, Dec 12 @Jacksonville 1:00 PM - W
    15 Sun, Dec 19 vsDenver 4:15 PM Toss-Up
    16 Sun, Dec 26 vsIndianapolis 4:05 PM L
17 Sun, Jan 2 @Kansas City 1:00 PM Toss-up Depending if KC is playing for a playoff spot or not ( cant believe im saying that)

that right there is a possible 8 more losses which puts them at around 6-10 to 5-11 , thats a top 10 pick E.

Why??? If there players that they wanted that are off the bored and they dont trade down, They could draft AJ Green for sure. Especially since Moss is declining and will only at the most be on a 2 or 3 year deal.

Bellicheck always trades down. the only way he isnt trading down is if he is at #1 and can't flip a trade. Frankly nobody wants that to happen either...

Here is to hoping the Raiders win 10 games this year.... good luck Oakland.

That's right? No, it's your opinion. The Raiders have a chance to win all of those games except maybe two or three of them - Indy and Pittsburgh. The rest of their schedule looks horrible.

Kansas City isn't good. They beat two horrible teams and a mediocre-at-best team. None of their wins are impressive.

I'm pretty sure the AFC West winner will have a losing record.

The Pats are one of the most difficult teams to predict in what direction when drafting players. The defense needs a major overhaul...Secondary, DE, OLB....

A good RB is a must.

Actually, the Pats haven't drafted well for quite sometime. I do like their 2 TEs they picked up last April.

My Guess... the Pats trade out of their 1st pick in Round 1 to accumulate more picks.

I just don't want them to end up with Patrick Peterson. Like someone else said, the Pats have holes everywhere on defense. I'd be least afraid if they took Ingram. Our D can shut down any RB, I don't give a - who it is.

They drafted a corner last year. There CB spot would be too crowded.

If they manage to get a beast runningback, that offense is scary again.

Ingram would be beastly in the Pats offense, he would eliminate the 4 man backfield of Morris/Green-Ellis/Faulk/Taylor. He is a very good runner, but also a talented pass catcher...

AJ Green... Can't really explain it but Ingram wouldn't scare me if the Pats got him. IDK why but Ingram looks like in the NFL he may become a top 15 RB at best... I just don't see super elite and terrifying skills in him. He does everything extremely well but to me wouldn't seem to excel at any one thing at the NFL level. Solid all around but definitely manageable for our DEF if you ask me.

They drafted Spikes and Cunningham this past draft I just can't see them going high on another LB before knowing what they ultimately have in those 2. Maybe another mid-rounder would be used in a LB but I'm doubting he'll use a high pick on one this year.

AJ Green would allow Moss to walk and for them to pretty much not miss a beat when he becomes familiar with Brady. I'm with Mr. E in saying that AJ Green is an absolutely insane prospect and even with Revis would hate to have to see him twice a year in this Division. He has no faults whatsoever and excels at all parts of the game, even run-blocking. In 3 years I'd see him as being a top 3 WR with the likes of the other AJ and Fitz....He's that good. And having Brady throwing to him will only make him that much better.

IMO, the decline of the Patriots is correlated with Scott Pioli leaving for KC.

Pioli may not be the best GM drafting players, and gave Belichicken alot of conrtrol in selecting players.

Pioli could recognize the need to bring in that free agent to help the team in the short term.

Belichick's tenure may be short, I can't see him staying with the team in decline. Belichick is a miserable person anyway, he would be over the edge with a losing team.

Bill Pollian over the long haul when it comes to the NFL draft. Pollian gives his draft picks time to develop. Pollian rarely uses free agency and trades he develops players.

Ozzie Newsome is very good GM when it comes to the NFL draft. His only downfall was letting Baltimore's QB situation go unchecked for a long time.

Have to give Tanny props for balancing drafting and free agency/trades.

AJ Green is an awesome prospect. I posed this question in another thread and never really got a reponse... Is it really wrong to hope he does something incredibly stupid or gets some injury that forces him to slide into an area we would trade up to go get him? I just wonder how amazing he would be in Green and White, pairing him with Holmes and Cotch and Keller, or frankly just Cotch and Keller, and I don't think our passing game would miss too much.

And by letting Holmes and Edwards walk, we could keep Harris, and Cromartie, and have some cap room to bring in some mid-level Fa's.

that said, no way we could count on Green being somewhere we could move up to get him, unless of course we suck the rest of the year, which I think we can all thankfully agree, isnt likely.
