He got a 27 or something on the Wonderlic and I think he did well in school. He's smart, just an idiot.
I know we did ... so why don't you think we could have converted? And you missed my point about the "75 yard drive" ... I'm saying, if the Dolphins had got to a point where they were going to try a 2-pointer to tie at the end, that would mean that they just went 75 yards on our defense in the last 1:42 of tha game. So if they did that, what would make you think we would be able to defend the 2-point play anyway? I'd rather let my offense try to put the game out of reach and not even fuck around with the defense. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
Our defense did not play like a bigtime defense tonight. They gave up WAY too many 1st downs on 3rd and long. 450 yards of total offense to the Fish is a concern. I take solace in knowing we were down Jenkins, Pace and Revis. It's a monster win without them. Let's get better and healthier and be a force.
No ahole ... I'm not stupid. I'm just saying this ... I had much more confidence in our offense tonite than our defense. If you watched the game, and you disagree for some reason fine. But all I know is we were very fortunate to escape with that win and it didn't need to come down to the last play. We should have ended the game on offense. If you're telling me you weren't sweating out that last pass then you're full of shit.
You know who tried to do this today and fucked up big time? Josh Mcdaniels with 7 minutes to go and down by 7 points from the 10 yard line goes on 4th and 6 or something and badly messed up. It cost him big because he did this twice and failed both times and his team lost because of his stupid decision making to be aggressive minded when you can trust your defense to make a stop for once
I know what you're saying but answer me honestly ... When the Fish took the ball with about 1:42 left and flew down to our 10 yard line in about 4 plays like our defense wasn't even on the field ... did you really think we were going to stop them from scoring? I hate to use the word lucky ... but I think we should be very grateful that Henne couldn't convert that 4th down play
Well the Jets were playing the prevent defense. For some reason I'm comfortable with that under Rex's coaching.... I don't know why.
Revis and Pace are the most important pieces to our defense, and we still held them to 23 points. This game gives me more confidence, as well all saw Rex say sometimes our D will pickup the team and sometimes the Offense. This would not have happened last year, once we have Pace, Revis, and Holmes out their I can honestly say I'm not scared of 1 team in the NFL. It sounds crazy but if we play like Jets and as a team from here out we could win out. I'm still sticking with 12-4. Our offense completely picked up our defense, and special teams was great again. I loved how LT and Shonn were used tonight. Brad Smith again is a unsung hero, but hero nonetheless.
sorry truthbtold, but truth be told, your argument only sounds good because of your avatar. It took us several downs to score that TD in more than one drive when we were scratching the goal line. The odds were really against us scoring that one-shot conversion. Most likely it would have been only 7 in the end... If you think that that last Miami drive was insane because they "only" needed 8 points to go to OT, imagine how it would've been facing that drive knowing that they only needed 1 TD instead of two to go to OT... ...or, using your same logic ("if Miami scores 6, they won't have problem scoring 8"), that means that if you miss the 2pt conversion, we were bound to lose the game. ...good thing we won so there's no reason to fight over it  (you guys got any milk?)
Here's how I see it: The offense was fantastic in the red zone today. They just had shit penalties and one bad call against them. I believe due to the success sanchez was having passing in the red zone he could convert the 2 pt conversion, and put the game away. I trust the playmaker at QB.
Did anyone else notice the dirty SOB interior lineman, the one with Polaomalu hair, who went out of his way to step on or kick opposing players every time he came up from the pile. Can't remember his name but what he was doing was pretty damm obvious.
what your forgetting is that when your up 8, they will need a td, and a 2 pt conversion, and a 2 pt conversion attempt is just like a 4th and goal, you gotta like our chances.
By the way, the reason why we really won is because I personally traveled to South Florida and beat this guy over the head with his pom-poms, ensuring that he wouldn't get within 50 miles of the stadium.

SUCK IT DOLPHINS!! But in all seriousness, our D wasn't up to snuff last night. Way too much space on Marshall.. Way too many 3rd down conversions..
