Fuck the heat that was supposed to be an advantage. Fuck the orange jersey that was supposed to be an advantage. Fuck Braylon sitting that was supposed to be an advantage. But most of all fuck the self righteous Motherfuckers that call themselves Jet fans that wanted the team to put themselves at a disadvantage so that their moral compass would keep pointing in the right direction. Yes, the Jets did what no other team in the NFL has done for the last 22 DUI's, and they still won.
According to Dungy, if he was on the Colts he would have been deactivated. This guy is such a fucking douchebag. How about Ronnie Brown and Will Allen?
Collinsworth said the same thing. What a fucking douchebag. He did later point out that other teams had not sat their players, but he still did say that Braylon should sit in his opening remarks.
I nominate this thread for the "All haters can go Fuk themselves" award!! It's us versus them fellas! til the Date in DALLAS!
Braylon should have been benched if the Jets wanted to pretend that they actually give a flying fuk about drunk driving and team discipline. the Jets tonight demonstrated that they care more about winning. I think its a mistake. Alot of people think it was a mistake. If you are unable to understand that people are allowed to have different viewpoints on such things then you are most likely not a very thoughtful individual, in which case your opinion is of limited value at best.
of course it was a fucking mistake. I'm guessing no one on this board advocates drinking and driving. My question to you is what makes Braylon Edwards so God damn special? What sets him apart from the hundreds of other players in this league who have gotten DWIs or DUIs?
Didn't Joseph Jefferson have a DUI in 2003 and 2004 and then Dominic Rhodes had one in 2007 and Nick Harper had a domestic battery? There were more but I pretty sure they didn't sit.
They might care about winning because THEY ARE PAID TO WIN. As I said before they have done more than any team has for the last 22 DUI's. I guess they gave more of a fuck than every other team.
None of them did. You have a QB in Pittsburgh who's a serial rapist and all he got was a four game suspension. Stallworth kills someone and is back in the league the next season after his (IMO) disgraceful sentence. If anyone on this board was one of those guys our asses would hurt right now.
He also said he had clear rules about that beforehand. The Jets didn't. End of story, and after the game he gave Edwards big props for staying focused on the game and performing. He's done a good job of eating his words on the Jets, someone just needs to tell him not to walk into any more traps.
I agree. the Jets should be the only team in the league comprised entirely of pre-Rumspringa Amish. (those post-Rumspringas are dirty, dirty whores).
bullshit. the Jets didn't do dick. telling a guy he wont play for the first 15 minutes = doing nothing. The Jets FO acted like weasels. No balls.
What's so funny about that is how nonchalant he was about it. It's as if the other 22 teams NOT benching their players at all after a DWI is somehow not relevant. It's as if the onus was somehow on the Jets, by definition, to set a precedent that would also have hurt their chances of winning a key divisional game on the road. It was actually comical.
