Good for him. And extra sweet that it's against the Chargers. Whether their current or former Jets, one thing's for sure: we love to fuck the chargers.

    Wow, good for Leon.

    I'm happy for him.

But I still think it was the right decision to move on.

I'm really tired of you people giving verbal blowjobs to players we let go.

He had a good game. Great for him. Who cares that he used to be a Jet?

He was a marginal RB who was good at returns. The other guys who care are all fucking morons, for the record. I thought better of you Mambo.

I care. He was well liked while he was here before his cunt wife started running her mouth and his agent started making outrageous salary demands. He's an exciting player, and I'm glad he's doing well.

I'm not saying OMG we should have kept him, superbowl etc etc but I had an emotional bond with this guy (like I have with other players currently on the Jets) and I'm happy he has had success today.

If you don't come up with this kind of bond with players on your team no prob but it's not the weirdest thing in the world so don't be surprised :).

This post makes me root for Leon just a bit less. I think it's a 'lost in translation' thing, but it comes across as incredibly gay. If you weren't European, and English were your first language, I'd think you were gay.

I did not "bond" with Leon. I did root for him when he was here. Good for him, wish him no ill will.

Haha half way through I wanted to put a "not in a homo way" disclaimer... guess I should have :p.

What I mean is there are players that represent the team more than other guys and you root for them more than other guys. And it's not only about talent (at least for me) it's about the mentality, the hard-work etc etc...

For me Leon was that kind of player and while I agree there weren't the financial conditions to keep him here happy it's still weird to see him in another uniform.

The guy was a talent, well liked by team mates and fans, got into a bad situation w/the broken leg, and a greedy agent(recipe for disaster).....Frankly Im happy he still contributing at a pro level....

Haha. Like I said, I chalked it up to language barriers. I knew what you meant

While I don't like the 'we shoulda kept these guys!' arguments, given that we obviously never found places for Woodhead and no longer really had a use for Leon other than his ST skills, I equally dislike the "STOP SAYING YOU'RE HAPPY FOR FORMER PLAYERS" bullshit.

I have to say, though, I'll never be happy for Woodhead in a Pats uni, even though I knew this shit was more than possible.

Yeah... cheering for someone in a Patriots uniform is really beyond my abilities...

I guess it bothers you to see a black man be successful.

We just kicked the Patriots and Dolphins asses in consecutive weeks without Leon or his greedy agent!

Hmmm, a very good special teams player gets how much per year? Now how much did he ask for???

Says the guy whose Adopt-A-Jet is "Frisbee Dogs"

    /ignore

Leon Washington returned two kicks for TD's... amazing and they were for 99 and 101 yards each.
