Again, I don't think that the fact that the rest of the NFL is content to let their players rack up DUIs means that the Jets should be. If it were up to me, every one of those players would miss playing time.
did you read the thread? The NFL is a business and the people in charge of running teams keep their jobs based on whether or not they win. They don't lose jobs because players get DUI's.
Suspended by THE LEAGUE for his second violation of the substance abuse program. Would you like to go for strike three?
You are very bad at this. They aren't resigning him because his agents are douchebags. Now stop grasping for straws.
His agents had a deal with another team, to the point that they were going over the legal jargon. San Diego, from what I understand, wanted two day 1 picks (which must be a misunderstanding, as isn't the first round technically "day 1" now since they started the primetime showing). So, the chargers think he's valuable enough for two high picks, but not valuable enough to sign him...
What the fuck? Let's try this again. He was suspended by the league, not his own team. That right there eliminates him from this discussion. Add on the fact that his suspension was due to a second violation of the substance abuse policy - something that Braylon hasn't done. Now you want to turn this into an argument as to why the Chargers aren't paying whatever Feinsod and Schwartz are demanding for a player under contract? No thanks, we already had a 575,522 post thread about that. If you keep rambling about this subject in this thread I'll consider it hijacking/trolling.
Of course, those "who think Braylon should be Benched/Suspended/Cut by Jets" include Fatcessa and Neil Schwartz, who proved himself to be a total tool today on WFAN by making the retarded argument that the Jets should bench Braylon.
No, the Chargers suspended Jackson. By putting him on the roster exempt list, it carries and automatic suspension. I argued that since the Chargers want such a high pricetag for him, then the issue isn't talent, it's off-the-filed, and I think they don't want to pay him because of his past issues. Other teams are willing to give him his demands.
Thank You! Did Ronnie Brown catch any heat at all at this point? Let the league take care of this when its time. He effed up again... he has issues. So do a lot of guys. BE is being singled out cuz all the Jets hype/hate. He broke the law and the rules and he will pay for it. He doesnt deserve extreme judgment just because he plays in NY and punched LeBrons little lap dog.
That was done because he was holding out. It was tacked onto the end of his existing 2nd substance abuse related suspension from the league. The Chargers were playing hardball with the holdout - it had nothing to do with his DUI.
I'd argue that AJ Smith put VJax on the list to discourage other teams from negotiating with him, forcing him to accept the much lower salary he offered as a pitance. If he's missing 6 games minimum, alot of teams would be discouraged from making a significant offer for him.
