Mickey Shuler-TE-Dolphins Sep. 23 - 4:54 pm et Dolphins claimed TE Mickey Shuler off waivers from the Vikings. The seventh-rounder was the blocking complement to Packers rookie Andrew Quarless at Penn State the past few seasons. He'll fill a backup role behind Anthony Fasano. Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter His dad used to be an important player for the Jets right? Must feel weird to see his son play for the Dolphins for the old-time fans...
While his father wasn't as key of a Jet as Joe Klecko or Mickey Shuler it always bothered me that Jabar Gaffney was a Patriot as well. There are a lot of sons of former 80's Jets players that played in the NFL. Joe Klecko / Dan Klecko Mickey Shuler / Mickey Shuler Jr. Derrick Gaffney / Jabar Gaffney Marion Barber / Marion Barber III
I agree, it was a little irritating but nothing like Klecko and now Shuler. There were some pretty talented kids from fathers on those early 80s teams.
You are certainly right, there was a DL from that era who's son was on the minor league baseball team I worked for in Idaho. Tom Baldwin was his name, he wasn't a starter but did score a TD in a blowout over the Packers in either 84 or 85. I don't remember what year it was but he was actually Gastineau's roomie and was in the Walk Like an Egyption video with him.

Mickey Shuler lives near me. Next town over. Anyway. I met him in person years ago and he signed a poster for me. I'll will it to whom ever wants it. Right now, it's still on my wall of honor.
You got it! Too bad you such a big dude cuz I have a JETS leather jacket worn once sz SM. I won it on a sports board. Nice too.
