Fatty just called the Jets lower then cowards for not just admitting that they are going to play Edwards because they want to win on Sunday and that he wouldn't be so annoyed with them if they came out and admitted it then going about it saying they can't and what not. I guess Fatty doesn't understand the rule where the team isn't allowed to punish him for off the field situations. He is skewering the situation cause he doesn't get it. I don't know if Tanny really said they are not allowed to bench him, they are but not for off the field issues, thats what I heard somewhere, maybe here. Someone said a player can't be punished for off the field legal matters thats up to the justice system and the NFL, so benching him would count as punishing him and the NFLPA can file a grievance but Fatty says the NFLPA said they wont and Edwards said he wont do anything about it, so yeah the Jets should of said fuck it and said they will play him. I have to say the way the Jets are going about it is silly.

When are you guys going to stop questioning people who listen to Francesa, and understand that a good portion of the rest of the country's sports media, lazy as they are, take their cue about their opinion about the Jets (and other NY sports trends and stories) from Tubby's show? It DOES actually matter what he says because he is syndicated nationally, has a monstrous following, and is controlling the narrative based on what is clearly a personal vendetta. And as a personal note, I have been listening to WFAN for 20+ years, am not going to just "listen to 1050", and really shouldn't have to explain why I want to comment on what is being said about my team on the station. haha now he's saying the team can suspend him as long as they pay him. Which is completely false.. after that TB- Keyshawn thing, teams cant suspend players with pay anymore unless there's a just reason, which in this case there is not.
